how can one possibly choose any system of morals? After all, you'd have no foundation on which to judge whether the system was right or wrong.

Why is it that so many things happen in my life with 2....whatever. My daughter's father died when she was 2 days old, 2 days before we were to wed, oh yeah, we were together for 2 years. I had a dream tht my boyfriend was leaving the state and i was crying on the steps, then it was I was crying because my grandma died. 2 weeks after dream, boyfriend left, 2 years after dream, Grandma dies. Several relationships ended either 2 months but mainly 2 years after they start. I always seem to have 2 dollar bills, (even if I have a 10 and a five i usually always have two one dollar bills) Is it all in my mind? This has been going on for about 18 years so I really believe there is something 'supernatural' behind it. There are many more things, tooooo much to type here. I'll be glad to go more into depth with and email, for serious replies only, of course. How can I search to find out the real meaning behind this? Help, lol, its driving me up the wall.

I'm going through a pretty severe trial right now and my situation looks extremely hopeless. I need some encouragement. Has anyone been through a REALLY bad, seemingly hopeless trial and in the end God worked in a major way? I have been going through for a very long time now and it seems everytime I get my faith together it gets worse and looks destined for failure. I am at my wits end. I feel like I cannot do this anymore. I want to give up.

God gave all free will. He want us to chose him. Do you that by forcing Christian ideas into our government that is ideally what God would want. God wants us to help and love one other and not to judge, for he is the only judge, so by making restrictions and laws based on Christianity is that really allowing people free will?

2. Simply believing the devil exist causes an unpleasant feeling

3. Feeling attacked just because someone says "God is fake" is being in a very bad position

before eating the apple, Adam and Eve did not know "good and evil" and were therefore amoral; afterwards, they were capable of having morality. Since we must agree that knowing good from evil is a prerequisite for morality, clearly giving Adam and Eve the power to discern these from one another was equivalent to giving them a sense of morals. I spoke to my 13-year-old daughter, telling her that she should not sin in her life. She should avoid having sex before marriage, stealing, masturbation, etc. But then my daughter criticized me, telling me that all these prohibitions comes from the Old Testament and that Christians no longer need to follow the Old Testament. She says, "Christians only follow the New Testament. We no longer need to follow the Ten Commandments. We are not bound by the Jewish laws. Jesus in the New Testament had no rules, and so therefore we Christians can do anything we want." She said that if I tell her what to do all the time then I am opposing the free will that God gave her.

I replied by telling her that Jesus did had rules, such as "love your neighbor as you love yourself," but then she used this as proof that you were allowed to have sex before marriage or even have homosexual sex before marriage.

So are the Old Testament rules really gone? Can Christians just do anything they want since Jesus seems to have made few clear rules?

I just loved those. Especially the really nice ones with the ribbons all around them and the bows. The Saints were very special to me and I think the Holy Cards helped with that.

I work with a muslim man who always makes sure that he can pray in a private, locked room. While I was working during the weekend, I needed to enter the room and it was locked (which is normal on weekends), so I unlocked it and saw him praying. I quickly closed the door and left until he was finished, but since then he has treated me differently. So I was wondering if there is anything in Islam that occurs if a non-muslim woman sees you praying? Or maybe it's just his own self-consciousness that he's treating me differently? Thanks in advance.

Seriously speaking? I have seen so many American Christians who feel that if you're not a Christian then you won't be saved. How can I convince them that it doesn't matter if I am not a Christian and I will still be saved? Yes, I am a Hindu and proud of it. I feel that if one was born a Christian and then leaves their faith, then they will go to hell and not be saved. However, if one is NOT a Christian FROM BIRTH, then what is the point in trying to enforce Christianity? Let them be Hindus. That is what I feel. What do you guys think?

If the Judio-Christian belief is that God is all knowing why would people pray?
God of course already knows and understand your plights, requests, and questions.
Why request something of God if an all knowing God would already know your request?
Please answer as I am trying to understand myself.
I believe currently that prayer is a way to delve deeper in ones self similar to meditation.
Just looking to expand my thoughts on religion.

My family went to a new church where my wife wore a veil to cover her head because of 1 Corinthians 4:5-7 that says "But any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled brings shame upon her head, for it is one and the same thing as if she had had her head shaved. For if a woman does not have her head veiled, she may as well have her hair cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should wear a veil. A man, on the other hand, should not cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man."

Afterwards, however, we were told by church officials that nobody in the church follows that rule, so my wife is not to wear a veil. My wife doesn't know whether she should follow what the church says or not.

Romans 13:1-2 says, "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever res
