Young Ryder,
Begin by setting up a BIBLE STUDY near your home and invite a few friends to come. Then you or a deacon at your church can teach in short segments the plan of salvation to whoever comes to the BIBLE STUDY. This can be a continuing project and it can be at different locations throughout your neighborhood if enough people become interested.

To become a real Christian, we are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament which is our Christian Guide. Have a great day!

I'm thinking perhaps what you really mean is "how can I be more spiritual?" I don't have anything against religion (I was raised in a Christian home), but just don't get caught up in the religious "dogma". Read the Bible, yes, but pay particular attention to what Jesus was trying to get across. The main message is be good to each other, and do good works. Pray and ask for guidance, and listen to that inner voice. The more good you do for others, in whatever way you can, will boost your spirituality, and bring you closer to God. The way I think is this: Good people are always worried that they're not "on track" spiritually. In reality, they are. The very fact that you are concerned about building a stronger bond with God shows that you already do have it. A dark soul who is on the wrong path never concerns themselves with such things. They don't care in the least about anything but themselves. So go and do all the good you can-help the elderly, homeless, teach or mentor children. If you love animals, volunteer at your local shelters. Whatever you feel compelled to do, or whatever your talents are, use them to do good, and people will see God working in your life. God Bless!

I used to wonder the same thing myself. Then one day it came to me like a lead rock. First if we have the desire for Christianity it is only because God has invited us to join Him. We need to grab the invitation and run with it, not just think on it.

A Christian is one that follows the footseps of Christ. So we have to develope a character like Christ. We can learn about all that by reading the four gospel chapters in the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Prayer is important as well. It is our connection to God. Thru prayer we can gain the necessary wisdom, forsight, knowledge, understanding etc. to build a relationship with God. That relationship is what is most important. It will keep us close to Him. And by being close we will mature into a good strong Christian.

There is a good Bible Study book on this subject called :
EXPERIENCING GOD.

You can order the book on line.
go to:LifeWay church resources. They have this book I believe listed on the second page.

You probably mean how can grow into a deeper relationship with God rather becoming "religious." Religion consists of rituals......NOT a relationship with the Father. It actually takes the focus OFF the Lord when you come to think of it. By reading His Word, there, He can speak to you. Many of our battles are fought through prayer. Prayer is just simply a way to communicate to our Father. It is not some ritualistic thing that we feel obligated to do, but rather a desire to want to spend time with Him. challenge you this week to make more time for Him! Trust me, He will speak to you!

Well, faith is simpler when knowledge is lesser. So obviously, those nasty scientists have filled your brain with too much knowledge and it's affecting your trust in God. Why don't you get a hammer and dong yourself repeatedly on the head until you forget all the things that science has taught you

Don't think of it as becoming more religous..religion is what is wrong with the world today, there is too much religion, Think of it as becoming a better Christian, and in my opinion the best thing to do is read your Bible and it will tell you everything you need to know

God Bless

open your mind to the truth, and read deeply inot your religion
and last note... dont eat animals
"thou shall not kill" doesn't only aply to humans
if you learn where the true roots of your religion are (gnosticism), you will be surprised how much the roman church changed it
