If you're referring to this lie:

Claim CG001:
Darwin renounced evolution on his deathbed.
Source:
Enoch, H., 1916. Darwin's final recantation. Bombay Guardian, 25 March 1916, quoted at http://www.forerunner.com/forerunner/X0724_Darwins_Final_Recant.html
Response:

1. The story of Darwin's recanting is not true. Shortly after Darwin's death, Lady Hope told a gathering that she had visited Darwin on his deathbed and that he had expressed regret over evolution and had accepted Christ. However, Darwin's daughter Henrietta, who was with him during his last days, said Lady Hope never visited during any of Darwin's illnesses, that Darwin probably never saw her at any time, and that he never recanted any of his scientific views (Clark 1984, 199; Yates 1994).

2. The story would be irrelevant even if true. The theory of evolution rests upon reams of evidence from many different sources, not upon the authority of any person or persons.

Yes Charles Darwin really believed in Evolution, read any of his books. This theory has been spewed by anti-evolutionary Christians attempting to discredit his work. Read his book "Origin of the Species" for proof.

There is no reliable, or for that matter realistic proof that Darwin did not believe in Evolution.

The stories alluding to that fact result from a tale told that on his death-bed, he recanted Evolution. There is no evidence that this actually ever happened; it is simply a fabrication propogated by Christians who love to repeat lies.

Darwin wrote the first detailed book on it after recognising natural selection in nature. He believed in it and he did not recant his claims on his death bed, it was just another case of christian misinformation.

"iceprincess"- so he let knowledge or or whatever lead him astray? Knowledge lead him astray? Oh come on, is that what they teach in church?

I wish he recanted, I do know that he had a degree in theology before he wrote his book on Natural Selection, so he let knowledge or or whatever lead him astray or was he ever saved??? Now thats the real question.

In many ways he was promoting God. People who believe anything out of fear doesn't make them an evolved species.

I honestly think that his deathbed reversal was just an urban legend.

Good question.

yes, do you really think he would have devoted his life to something that he didn't believe in? That would be like the pope devoting his entire life to God, then at the end of his life saying..."nah, I don't believe any of it".

it's true he denounced everything in his deathbed. kind of makes you think if you believe in Evolution.
