Both of which are obviously nonsense. But Buddhists don't come here and act like obnoxious spoiled little children.

As ye sow, so shall ye reap.

You might as well ask "why don't parents scold and punish their well-behaved children?". And those of you saying "I have no idea why not - just think for a second, and it'll come to you.

Buddhism is very different to the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam, and Judaism). All the Abragamic religions are in the same family, i.e. they splitted off from one another, and thus they share the same beliefs in one all-mighty powerful God. The Abrahamic religions all have very effective and powerful marketing techniques, and atheists tend to be exposed to these and then question it before rejecting it. Buddhism is more of a philosophy of living. If you don't like it then Buddhists don't care. In an Abrahamic religion, however, if you don't believe, you will go to hell and reaching people so that they can be given salvation becomes extremely important, hence the spread of missionaries even to this day. Islam and Christianity are the fasting growing religions in the world and they grow all over the world. Both started in the Middle East, and Islam moved Eastward to West Asia and West to North Africa. Christianity moved to Europe, then to all of America and Australia and New Zealand and today there is growth of Chritianity in Asia and Africa.

Belief in reincarnation and karma is harmless, and if anything promotes better behavior in this life. The Christian belief system has become so distorted that many Christian's seem to want holy wars.

I don't care what people believe, as long as they don't try to force their beliefs on others around them. I certainly don't begrudge people their "spirituality", as long as it doesn't turn into self-righteous, arrogant, judgmental behavior.

Buddhists don't have any of these negative traits. The same is not true for many (most?) Christians.

Probably because the Buddhist don't pester the "hell" out of them by trying to 'save' them. I think a lot of Atheist are very angry at the type of Christians that do that. I know I hated them when I was an Atheist. Thank God, (and I do mean that) that all Christians are not the holier than thou, 'I am going to Heaven and you and your kind are going to burn', type.

Buddhist believe in 'Loving Kindness', so most people don't have a problem with them.

Buddhists have never told me that I would burn in hell, or be reincarnated as a donkey. Buddhists have never tried to convert me to their beliefs.

Most buddhists claim that their beliefs are just that....beliefs, and not knowledge as some christians do.

For the same reason Atheists don't pester me, an Asatruar... I don't try forcing my beliefs on them, neither do Buddhists. They pester you because your religion teaches you to go out and convert, so you harass them and tell them they are going to hell, in return they pose questions to you that make you uncomfortably because it points out how illogical some of your views really are.

Atheists do not believe in reincarnation. Of course they question Buddhism, or any other theology.

Some people may call themselves atheist, but they readily embrace other hogwash beliefs. They are not atheists. They are just confused.
