As for the APPLE, this is complete MYTHOS. When i got the idea that God commanded ADAM and EVE not to eat an apple i believed it, and determined never to eat another apple again, as long as i lived. But behold, i was chastened and reprooved that it was not.
this only proves how the world and the world of christianity have believed false traditions.

Wanted to speak to this: "this only proves how the world and the world of christianity have believed false traditions."
Obviously, none of the Bible stories (or very few) are literally true... try to get some more meaning out of them, look for morals that apply to reality.

False traditions? It is not written that it was an apple that they ate. It just so happens that it would be easier to visualize an appetizing, delicious, succulent, juicy red apple. It would be easier for children to grasp the idea of an apple rather than a fruit which no one knows what it is. In art, it is usually depicted as an apple. It doesn't mean that you are deceived by Christianity. The point is that they ate the forbidden fruit. Who cares if it is an apple? Every priest and minister knows that it is only easier to visualize an apple rather than an imaginary unknown fruit. It is the message and not the detail that is important.

Most likely it was a fig...

As it says, Genesis 3. 6-7 "When the woman saw the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her and he ate it. Then the eyes of both were open and they realized they were naked so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves."

Now clearly, when it refers to "fruit" it is plural as it says "she took some and ate it." It also says, "she gave some to her husband." "Some" is plural. Apples are about 3-4 inches in diameter so eating "some" would take a while. Figs are less than 2 inches in diameter so eating "some" would be easy and not take too long at all.

"Then the eyes of both were open and they realized they were naked so they sewed fig leaves together " If they had been standing in front of an apple tree, would they not have used apple leaves? They used fig leaves because they were standing in front of a fig tree. So it was a fig.

(That was easy to FIGure out. LOL)

The fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of good an devil is never identified in scripture. An apple has always been used to symbolize this fruit. Feel free to aet apples and any other fruit you can find. That tree has been hidden from man, along with the Tree of Life (for now).

Missing the point! People say apple because it is an easily accessed fruit that grows on a tree and since a tree is what is referred to in scripture, an apple is the way it goes. At the end of the day, who cares what kind of fruit it was.
I have a query with that story myself. Tradition says it was satan possessing the snake. But I read it myself recently. Nothing about satan and I don't think it's actually a snake. It was a cunning serpant, and after God found out what he did, he was then made to slither on his belly the rest of his days. Hmm.....

It does not matter at all what type of fruit it was. It could have been any fruit that grows on a tree. The type of fruit had absolutely no role in the story. God was testing Eve by telling her that she would be like God (know the ultimate difference between good and evil). In other words, she could be a God, just like him if she bit into the fruit. This was the first and the greatest sin. And, this sin of wanting to be a god is alive and well with us today. The atheists celebrate it when they put their ego as their god. Make no mistake, atheism is a religion and their Ego is their god. If you worship God, you submit to his authority. If you worship your own ego, you submit only to your self-centered "little god" inside of yourself.. Other religions also try to avoid God by submitting to something more "comfortable" than God -- witchcraft, etc.

Ya know, now that I think of it, I think apple is just like the default fruit that springs to mind. Because I've always believed it was an apple too. And it comes up in a lot of tv shows/cartoons as being an apple...

Look at Genesis 2:17 - there is reference to a tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

From sensory experience, we all know that trees do not bear abstract fruits such as goodness, evil nor knowledge. This tree must be a figurative tree - a metaphor.

How the apple tree came to represent this figurative tree, I do not know, it is possible it was selected to simplify biblical stories told to children. Bible stories have many hidden meanings and should not be taken literally.

One way to avoid the simplistic spiritual tales is to delve into the Bible yourself, find a concordance that explains the text to help you understand and to appreciate.

The Bible doesn't say it was an apple, Sunday school teachers just use an apple because little kids know what an apple is. It was "the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil."

The bible does not say what fruit it was. I love apples. It was the fruit from only that tree that they could not eat. There were plenty of similar trees that produced the same fruit, but were not forbidden. I eat oranges too.

There is no mention of a specific fruit. Medieval painters chose to depict the forbidden fruit with an apple. So, don't torture yourself, it could have been any juicy, delicious and tempting fruit Adam and Even had not tasted before. Probably unknown to us.
