Jesus would probably sing "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas. Yet Jesus' best performances were only in the presence of believers, not critics. So it is like that he would simply challenge Cowell with a single question "How funky do you think I am?" And that would be it.

I'd always pictured Jesus singing Warren Zevon's Vera Cruz.
I can't believe no one has tackled that one for Idol. I suppose it's not well known enough.

Simon is mean... I think he'd tell jesus he's not good enough and doesn't have "the look." Then he'd send christ from the room in tears. Jesus wouldn't get through three bars of "I am a child of god..."
