I live in Utah, I am a 14 year old Agnostic and I cant figure out why people cant accept me for who I am not my beliefs. Just because I'm not mormon doesnt mean I'm going to Hell.

on this earth and given that the bible portrays him as provocative and controversial, he would have confirmed the virgin birth during one or some of his sermons at the synagues!

I know this sounds like a silly question but I`m serious. I`ve been told that you don`t get into Heaven immediately, how long does it take? I`m an agnostic and I`m curious about a lot of things.

So we pose a few questions? So what. It is your doubts in your belief that make you angry. I am not an aethist, but the non christians in here do not seem to be angry, they just want you to give them sound reasoning or proof or something other than bibile quotes to help your cause. But you do not provide, so we ask more questions. We are the teachers, you are the insolent students. Or so it seems to me.

Would you say that modern physics models of the world (quantum mechanics, string theory, the holographic paradigm...) support the possibility of so-called paranormal phenomena (telepathy, psychokinesis etc) or discount them? Also, for the really brave, what about spirituality in general and the possibility of divine?

Obviously I'd like people who actually know about the subject to comment, but if you're going to insist, at least first watch the PBS documentary "The Elegant Universe", hosted by physicist Brian Greene:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/...

Also take a look at at the "double slit experiment", which you can find here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=...

You could also watch "What the bleep do we know?" which, while perhaps a bit less objective about the matter, still raises some very interesting points.

PS. I'm not looking for the best answer I agree with. 10 points to the best argument EITHER way. We're debating here, not arguing.

because I find it odd that he heals homosexuals who really don't have anything wrong with them to heal (what's he healing them from, love?) yet he doesn't heal amputees. God doesn't care if you get an arm or leg ripped off, if that happens you're on your own, but if you hit puberty and happen to be attracted to the same sex, he now heals you? Why does he do that now when he never did in the bible? Should homosexuals be entitled to SSI and Disability benifits if God thinks they're disabled enough to require miracle healing?

Smart people can do this. They can interpret and distort definitions so as to make any contradiction disappear.

Example: Let's say the bible says there are round squares. This is obviously a contradiction. But I can stretch the meaning and give you a B.S. resolution to it:

"What they really meant was a square with rounded edges, so it's really not a contradiction."

Give me an example of one you can't explain and I will explain it in a Christian manner.

Examples could be small time drug users or white collar crime (HUGE fines could work better with a lot of community service required). Some jail time could be appropriate, but some caught with a few joints are in jail longer than others guilty of assult or rape. This is not right.

GE 19:30-38 While he is drunk, Lot's two daughters "lie with him," become pregnant, and give birth to his offspring.
2PE 2:7 Lot was "just" and "righteous."
RO 3:10, 3:23, 1JN 1:8-10 No one was or is righteous.

Now first I've been drunk, in fact soooo drunk that I've passed out on hard floors, and made out with some suspect girls, but never drunk enough to sleep with family members so don't blame it on the booze.

I have a few hundred more of these here if you're in an answering mood, please copy and paste them and answer them one by one if you want:

As for me I am looking forward to marrying every little girl I can get my hands on when she reaches puberty.

What is good for Muhammud as they say…

Hmmm only 4 women. Heck I want the 72 virgins. Who here wants to be one of them?

Muslim women are grateful that they get to be one of my harems in heaven, forever having my children.

Allah be Praised!

In the past some creationists claimed that since an atomic nucleus is composed of protons with a positive charge and neutrons with no charge, that the nucleus should not be able to stay together. After all, particles with like charges repel each other. Then they quote Col. 1.17 ("And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.") and say that it must be Jesus who binds the nucleus together.

If this argument is valid, then Jesus must not be powerful enough to hold together the nuclei of radioactive elements, because it is the fact that nuclear decay is caused by protons and neutrons being cast off from the nucleus.

So I am curious if creationists still use that argument.

One thing that turns me off to christianity is the insipid "contemporary christian music" schlop that they play in churches today. Embarassing.

I'd like to attend a service with cool music that is really inspiring. Who's got it?

I've heard many times that God knows our fates. I've also heard people say, pray that I'll do a good job, pray that so-and-so gets well soon, pray that I get the job/promotion, etc. I understand that people pray to thank God, but what's the point of praying to ask for things? Doesn't God have it all planned out anyways?

If the Bible says death is sleep, that the dead know of nothing, how come many people experience going through a white tunel and having feelings? or how can anyone talk to the dead? or talk of spirits of the dead?

You place so much faith -- yes, faith -- in your credo that "there is no God," and yet you're so determined to attack others who have faith in God. Why? Why do you even spend so much time in a RELIGION category, when all you want to do is attack?

Is this aggression the sum of your faith?
