A woman can marry 4 but not at a time. If she marries 4 at a time like men, they how will you identify the father.

Allah created us in that way. He ordered us to do so . The nature of a man rejects to be the second ,third or fourth. On the other hand , the nature of women can accept to be a second wife rather than anything else.In addition , a man in the Islamic religion is the one who works for the sake of his house. A man is asked to take care of the whole house. Accordingly, a man not a woman, can take care of more than a house, not the woman who is taken care of.

As far as I know, women in islam are a symbol of status. You can marry as many as you can support, giving each all kinds of accomodations in equal ammount.

Because if the woman slept with four men and get pregnant she won't know who is the father.
