If you were God, would you love humanity so much that you would give up all the comfort of Heaven, become a man, wash people's feet, serve them 24 hours a day, then die a criminals death in innocents while being ridiculed? Would you choose this? No, your values are of self - rich and power - just like Satan.
The true God of the Bible does not demand to be an idol - he asks for our friendship, worship and trust.

1) Throw in contradicting rhymes so it's open to interpretation.
2) Have a doomsday theory. The gloomier the more followers you will have.
3) Have some twisted view on sexuality. That will attract pervs and masochists.
4) Demean everyone born out of wedlock.
5) Have your church filled with gold, jewels, and other items of wealth.
6) Have extra-marital affairs and children with those women, then deny any wrong doing.
7) You must have lots of weapons and ammunition at your disposal, and a safe bunker when all hell breaks loose.
8) Charge admission into your church and monthly membership fees.
9) DON'T practice what you preach.
10) Be very, very judgmental, and self-righteous.
11) And lastly, shove your religion down everyone throat and start a Holy war with everyone that doesn't believe in it.

1) Fulfill ancient prophecies through your birth, life, and death.
2) Live a perfect life.
3) Perform miracles on a daily basis, including but not limited to healing the sick and raising the dead by the power of your word.
4) Take upon yourself the sins, pains, and sorrows of all people who have ever lived or who will ever live. Survive this.
5) Give your life to seal your teachings with your blood and to allow all people a way to overcome physical and spiritual death.
6) Raise yourself from the dead, appear miraculously to many people, and then ascend in glory into the sky.
Those are just the basics...there's probably more, but that's a start at least! ;-)

First, go to Rome and have them crucify you. Along the way do miraculous acts of kindness. If you come back from the dead, people may write a book about you. P.S. your mother also needs to be a virgin and you can't be rich in the monetary sense.

It's not about what's in the book, it's about how you get people to believe it. Since it will be new, you must make adults suggestible to your teachings. (Look up info on L Ron Hubbard.) After you have enough adults believe your mumbo jumbo, they will pass this mind infection to their children. Children have little ability for logical or rational thought, since they don't understand "reality" yet. When you get a hold of the children's minds, you get a hold of the masses.
BTW: everyone thinks it's such a big deal for jesus to have "died for our sins." As a supernatural being, jesus knew people would worship him forever, and "dying" is nothing for a supernatural being. Who wouldn't want billions of people worshipping them?

Sounds to me like you already worship yourself....Now all you have to do is willingly let people you love mock you, spit on you, beat you beyond recognition, and crucify you all so you can make a way to you in heaven.....something tells me you wouldn't get past the mocking. I'll pray to the real God for you.

Contrary to what betafish said, you don't have to do all those things, just get people to say you did without any verifiable proof. All you need is eyewitness accounts of believers. No proof from neutral observers needed

Self-righteous (Romans 10:3) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
