I'm 44 and live in Utah and have had that problem all of my life. There is definitely an undercurrent of cult righteousness, but that does not mean that they are the only ones going to heaven. They are the only ones that will be in their part of heaven because they want it that way, but hey, cool. Look inside yourself for these answers. There is the "God Force" in all of us, and the answers to the universe's mysteries are easier to find if you are in harmony and feeling how you are suppose to feel, not how someone else tells you to feel. Accept yourself, as God already has, and he has a place for you whether you are Mormon or not. Be confident that you are everything you need to be, and that doesn't mean following a bunch of sheep if that is not your thing. Peace be with you.
P.S. I forgot that you are agnostic, well, the same holds true about who you are. Everything matters and has reason. Find out what that is for yourself and be happy.

Even where people may not accept you, God values you (see source section below).

"Who you are" is a child of God. He created you and loves you. What others think of you, frankly, matters much less (and perhaps not all all) compared to what God thinks of you. And again, I assure you that he cares for you very much.

And no, just because you're not mormon does not mean that you're going to hell. The Holy Bible does warn us, though, that those who do not believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, is condemned.

God gave you free will. Your faith is yours to accept or reject. As for the rest of the world, rest assured that they too will answer to God one day.

No in-group likes outsiders.

By being agnostic, you are an outsider from the in-group of Mormons (believers).

As long as people identify with their group and have an us/them mentality, they will not accept outsiders. It is a defense mechanism not to accept and resist outsiders.

Try not fighting back and accepting them - love them. They may drop their walls and come out of their shells...finding you are not a threat.

You live in Mormon land. You are 14 so in 4 years or less you can travel and see that agnostics are many in numbers and widely accepted.
Good luck.

My best friend lived in Utah and she hated it. She felt like because she wasn't Mormon that she was ostracized. She stayed there 2 years and then moved back home.

If you have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, you have a place reserved for you in heaven. Praise the Lord for that! Your saying that you are an agnostic tells me that you are a lost soul and living without Jesus as your personal Savior, or even any belief in God. That possesion in life will get you a very hot place in hell.

The only way to heaven is by way of accepting Jesus as your personal Savior, Belief in God as our creator, and obey His word

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

John 3:3,36 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

For those who don't accept Jesus as their Savior, who are then considered by God as the devil's false prophets... God has never made what will happen a secret.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Your beliefs are everything about who you are.

Anyway... you need to stop being so insecure about people liking you because you're not like them... not to mention you live in Utah, which I can only imagine is tough being different.

When you get older you'll leave there and you will find people will accept you in your new place you call home.

Andrew- you are slightly mistaken. Because you do not beleive in Mormonism, you are going to hell - in THEIR MINDS.

This is an excellent reason for you to consider never being around religion for the rest of your life - look at how it makes people react and think of others. Religion is the greatest uniter and divider of mankind.

If its any consolation, I accept you for who you are.

Maybe it's the way they were raised or something....well, then you know who's your friend and who's not. Who said anything about you going to hell? People should learn to overcome differences.

Well, it's good. Hell doesn't exist, so yeah. Plus, you're definitely in the wrong state. I say you don't go to church against your will.
