If someone came up to you and pointed a gun at you head and asked you if you believed in God, would you say yes and give your life up for God? Why or why not?

About 42% of federally employed women were harassed in their jobs, stated a recent 2 year survey done by the Official Merits Protection Board. Another 60% of the members of the American Federation of State, Country and Municipal Employees said that sexual harassment was a frequent problem for them. And between 1981 and 1985, the number of such complaints to the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, established to monitor employment practices, shot up by 70%.

I am speaking of the religion, not the actions of people today.

Why is it that people say islam is intolerant. when it clearly says non muslims will enter heaven as long as they believe in god and do good in the world. while at the same time christians say the only way to enter heaven is through Jesus?

So which is more tolerant?

Islam and christianity is closer than you might think.

People say you can find love, God, intuition... all sorts of things are apparently hiding in there. Is it true? What do you find in your heart?

Personally it seems to want to remind me of the unity of all things.

If ISlam is false I want to know how this miracles happened..The water in mecca, where it never finishes, the tree in Australia where it resembles, a man bowing down towards Mecca..the undefeated Muslims of war between, Russia and Afghanistan, U.S.A and Iraq and afghanistan(Talibans are not fully eliminated), Israel and Lebanon(the hezbollahs)...
I want God to come and speak to me directly...to tell me that this is the true religion and i should follow that...I am fed of riddles and searching in books...If I want to drw closer to God shouldn't God draw more closer to me..then y I am still in confusion of wot religion to follow...

but i was curious to see if you were equaly dubious of religious evolution. Like how one religion changes over time, or how one religion tends to spawn other religions, and sectarianism.

My uncle & I are very close friends. We are like night & day but have mutual respect for one anothers beliefs. I'm a Christian & he's an atheist. We went out last night & somehow someone that I was talking to brought up religion & I mentioned that my uncle was an atheist. Now this guy said he didn't belong to any religion which didn't make sense to me but he started to try & convince my uncle to believe. After about 5 minutes, I said listen there'd be no way in the world that he could try & make me not have faith in my God so please don't try & convince him that there is one, we're all entitled to our own opinions. Well the guy let it go but as he was walking out my uncle said have a good night & may your God bless you. I thought that was classy considering 10 minutes earlier they had disagreed & I can't say that I would have been too nice to an atheist if he kept on trying to make me lose faith. Would you have been that classy?

Why do they have memorials (which seem like 'meetings') instead of graveside burials and why don't they visit or make the location of the grave known to family? There doesn't seem to be any closure with their method.

Both my husband and I are wiccan, Please no one try to save our eternal soul, just becuase we dont believe what you do. I am not trying to push my religion on you.

My child is still too young to worry about religion, but I want to be prepaired. The thing is I know that my family is going to tell him that if he does not go with them to catholic masses he will burn in hell. My husband and I do not believe that any god or goddess could ever send someone to "hell" for all eternity, so my main concern is that he would be scared into picking a religion instead of learning completely about it and then chosing. I would have no problem if my son CHOSE to be catholic, but I need to know that it was his choice and not just pressure from my family. I want him to learn about religion and chose one based on HIS BELIEFS. How do I help guide him through something that for a lot of people is so hard???

Thank you

If someone does not believe in the concept of God, how can they claim to be agnostic? I always thought that this subgroup (Agnostic Atheist) of people feel that we cannot PROVE there is a God, and stop at that. They do not directly claim God does not exist, they just don't bother to believe. So how can some say there is NOT one without proving it?

I have read the quran and the bible both. The bible shows us a God of holyness and a God who is loving and mercyful. The bible unlike the quran has 66 different books and many authors. Each a person of renown, a known prophet or a know prophet. Who fortold exact things to come and worked many mericals which were witnessed by many. The Son of God did more mericals then all the apostles and all the prophets of God.
When reading the quran i find it to be exactly 100 percent wrong it declares all the prophets a lier and Muhammud as the truth. The problem with Muhammud is that he does not point to holyness before God. He actually promotes unholyness before God. He promotes sin as holyness before God. He promotes lust over holyness, he promotes hate over love, he promotes living a life in search of the fulfillement of the pleasures of the heart. Every bit of his thinking is twisted in the reguard to holyness before a wrathful God.

A person who loves God and came from a nice "cumfy" home with good Christian values and lots of comforts, or a person who comes from a broken family and is beaten and abused, never raised with any kind of values and despises God because of all of that. I am not saying I am that. I have it kinda average in life. I am just curious as to how you feel.

Evolutionists state that humans evolved over a period of millions of years. This from BBC: By two million years ago, a new species of Homo appeared - the first species we would truly recognise as human.

BUT THEIR IS A BIG PROBLEM WITH THE FACTS...

Oldes civilization found in Europe ONLY 4600BC
http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/7-5-2005-72654.asp

Egyp only dates back to 3000 B.C., That is only about 5000 years ago. http://www.civilization.ca/civil/egypt/egctimee.html

Mesopotamia also 5000 years ago, Oldest civilization known!!!
http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-47441/history-of-education

China only about 3500 years ago.
http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-47441/history-of-education

In other words, civilization is fairly NEW

IN court this evidence will favor the Bible. In court...this would be evidence against Evolution theory. Where are the 2 MILLION YEARS of human history????

I have a friend who has sinned by having sex before marriage. She told me that it doesn't that her sin doesn't really matter because "God forgives and embraces those who make Him their Lord and Saviour. Jesus died for every sin, big and small. Just accept the gift of Jesus and its forgotten."

Does this mean that I can sin all my life, e.g. break all the Ten Commandments and the Seven Cardinal Sins, and I can still get into Heaven because God will forgive me no matter what?
