Many Christians believe that we are in the "last days" or that there are many signs that Jesus will return soon. Many Muslims also believe the same thing.

However, what if Jesus NEVER returns in the way Christians or Muslims expect Him to? What if it's the 24th century and He still hasn't come down from literal clouds and there is no literal resurrection, rapture or Judgment Day? Will 24th century Christians join another religion or give up on religion?

This is a purely hypothetical question, and not an attack on any religion.

and the Pearl of Great Price? The standard practice is to give the inquisitive prospect a copy of the Book of Mormon, which for the most part is in the genre of historical narrative, have the person read 3 Nephi 11 and Alma 32 and 34, and then ask the person to take Moroni's challenge and pray to see if these words are true. It's not like I can't find them on the internet, but I still don't understand why Mormons are so stingy with the other two books that are claimed to be God's revelation to a prophet?

I have my own thoughts, but I want some feedback. Serious answers only, please.

Does it have anything to do with Joseph Smith's assertions that there are multiple gods, or that Jesus is Jehovah, or that Elohim has a body of flesh? Or that Joseph Smith claimed to be descended from one of Jesus' three wives? Or Smith's explanation of the origin of the "white and delightsome" race and the spiritual cause for the ***** race?

Main reasons seem to be: Anti-Religeon, Racial- Discrimination, and no respect for the cultural background of various religeons. There is one God ,one universe, one human- race and one law pervading throught at all times which binds us together rather than creating terror for each other. Kindness and humane approach for the wellbeing of all, irrespect of their caste, religeon and nationality are most wanted every hour.

1. Does Noah bring one or seven pairs of animals on board the ark? There seems to be some argument there among the religious "scholars," so I wonder...

2. What about insects like ants that do not reproduce in pairs? It would not matter if Noah brought a pair of ants on board the ark, insects like ants reproduce when hundreds of worker ants fertilize one queen ant. Did "god" not know this?

If not, site some examples. You don't have to tell me exactly where they are in the bible. Just what you remember of the scripture or story. I'll know where it is.

venial is a sin one doesn't know is a sin and keeps doing it when one finds out it might be a sin.

Mortal sin is doing it rebeliously / deliberately when knowing its a sin.

I think it was invention of fire. This kept away animals at night and gave humans time to relax and not think about being eaten constently. This gave then time to just sit and think for once.

In speaking with Mormon missionaries, I was told that, as a Baptist, I'm already saved. Why then are they wasting time on me?

is it that I need to add to that, since it is an infinite and eternal sacrifice (Alma 32)? For example, if I was never baptized in the temple, my son can be baptized for me after my death. This means that the work of SOMEONE ELSE affects my eternal destiny. How can this be? Additionally, this also means that if there is no birth record for me, my descendants would be unable to trace my lineage and I could never receive a temple baptism by proxy.

This is a serious question, so please, serious answers.

There are many different ways to pray like catholics recite the rosary, some people ask God for things, and others thank Him. When I I have a problem I will ask Him for help but I never tell him how He should fix the problem. I let God decide how to fix it. Sometimes I do the rosary because its a form of meditation.

Ever see some people walking down the street and think "They must be Jehovah's Witnesses"? What makes you think that? Is there a telltale sign, or something that makes them stand out, separate from sales(wo)men or Mormons or even Baptists? Just curious.

1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

Answers to my last question have already shown they don't care about the first two verses, take a look, some of the answers are repugnant. If we acknowledge that gays are Christs brothers too, then by todays"christian" standards, they are the least of them.

I am not asking about the other planets on the solar system becuase we know. I want to know about the incountable number of plantets that we can not even see

Point to think about. There are more stars than anyone can ever count. Around some of these stars have to be planets so that makes the number of plantes also incountable. So do you think that it is possible that becuase there are so many planets out there that conditions could be right on another planet to allow life and even inteligent life to form and evolve

I am asking this in the religion section becuase I want to see how your religion effects your answer. Please state your belief and why you believe it, Wheather you believe it becuase of your religion or becuase you look at it scientifically

How old is the earth.?
How old is the earth? Rocks on the earth have been dated as old as 4 billion years. Many meteorites have been dated, and we consistently find an age of about 4.5 billion years. Evidence indicates that the meteorites and the earth were formed at about the same time, about 4.5 billion years ago.

I just read an earlier answer that said the earth is 6,000 years old. I swear to God I saw that. Now really people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night, light arrived at your house from the distant stars. It must have taken a long time for that light to reach your house, for the stars are very far away, and light travels at only 186,000 miles per second. Scientists tell us it would have taken billions of years for the light to have made that journey from the distant stars. If the light did indeed come from those stars, then the light left those stars billions of years ago. And if the light was traveling for billions of years, than the stars must be very old, and the universe is very old.
