Did the decent of the Holy Ghost prevent further possession or is demonic possession still possible? Would someone who contains the Holy Ghost be able to be possessed? I have no particular reason in mind for these questions, just curious.

If some uneducated guy came up to me and said he saw cookie monster in the woods I wouldnt beleive hime , then why knowing how middle eastern culture is and how it must of been thousands of years ago with guys making up stories around campfires and stuff, then why as an evolved,educated society as ourselves do we believe these stories as facts.

Does that mean that everybody on earth is going to be at a certain location? or does it mean the earth is flat?

..the plague was raging across Italy- massive threats to the authority of the established Church. Then along comes Galileo with his accursed 'Dialogues' book which gave thinly veiled credence to the heretical 'Copernican' (Heliocentric) system. This directly contradicted the bible, in particular the joshua and solomon bits..
What's a good pontiff to do?..after all the Copernican system is only a theory, and it directly contradicts biblical authority...of course the Holy Inquisition acted properly..wouldn't you agree??

I've had several: eg. Driving in my car and taking a 90 degree turn in the wrong/inside lane, visualizing a truck, then swurving just in time to not have a head on collision.
Envisioning a car coming around a bend, and seeing it just as it was. Dreaming of a fire, and one happened that night somewhere else.

I myself have an ongoing desire to learn about the world around me and science ,evolution and it leads me to the conclusion the bible just cant be right, I was Christian for a long time and the way it encourages closing your mind to any and all other possibilities baffles me . Do people not like to think and learn or is blind faith a way of contentment, So that life will be fulfilled without thought and reason.

Because they are not the same.

Lucifer is the morning star is Lucifer...

Don't quote me a verse or two of Isaiah either, because that is God taunting the king of Babylon. Look back a few verses and see it for yourself.

Revelation is talking about the Dragon not Lucifer. In Revelation Jesus calls himself the morning star.

No where in the bible does it equate Lucifer with the Dragon or with the adversary.

Let's get all of our facts straight and quit perpetuating the doctrines of man.

Am I being nitpicky? Yup. Kind of a big implication calling the adversary the same thing that Jesus calls himself.

Certainly the adversary has accomplished his goal of being thought of as Jesus - through man's doctrine. We do keep calling him the morning star, after all...

I only bring this up again because I see it come up again and again with the answers on this service.

I dont understand and I dont believe in luck. But I do believe in God and I am a christian- I'm not perfect but I try to be a good christian. But why am I the one to get fired from my job and can't afford my bills and don't know what to do but the people around me that don't believe in God get the good jobs, make the good money, can afford their bills and more, have kids when I cant (and if I can its gonna cost alot of money that I dont have). Why do they have parents or a spouse that pays their bills while they're crappy parents who sit on their a$se$ and do nothing all day? I don't understand why they're taken care of in this world and I'm not...I try to be fair and honest and I'm the one who looses out in the end. What do I have to do to get ahead in life- turn against God?!.

Is it possible that the evil one made it into the bible? Some of the things I have read in the Old Testament do not sit well with me. I need serious perspectives on this subject as I am searching and I would like to avoid being led astray. Please help.

Why would an all-loving perfect God want to have a sacrifice and blood to atone for sins? Wouldn't a simple, "Sorry God, I, us, we sinned, but hey, we're sorry, we'll try not to do it again, will you forgive us, after all, you were the one to pop into existence that evil tree of knowledge you rascal you"
