Is it done to honor The Prophet? Or is it done for the benefit of the family, or the one named (as when Mary is used for the name of Catholic females)? Does it make a difference where Mohamed is placed in the name (i.e., Mohamed Omar vs. Abdul Mohamed)? Lastly, why is the name spelled differently (Mohamed vs. Mohammad, etc.)--is this a regional difference?

FYI--anyone with racist answer will be reported.

So 'if' demons existed, and if they were real and if you discovered them (or had already I'm not here to deny anyone the right to claim anything) then how do you fight them? Through prayer, ritual, exorcism...in fact better yet what could a demon do to you? What kind of powers would they have over you psyche or you're body? And please leave the Charmed stuff out of this, I mean how would you fight them as close to reality as you can get when talking about demons? Like you've probably heard at one point or anything Ghosts can't cross a line of salt? So in that case, what weaknesses and strengths do demons have? HOw do you find out? Is it specific to the kind of demon? Or is it specific to the person and there exact belief's(becasue demons exist in almost every culture.) If anyone has any idea's as too any of this I would appricate it. There is alot here to answer, but I'm willing to hear it all.

I mean if a gun was held at your spouse's head and you had the choice of watching him/her die or denouncing your faith in Christ, what would you do and why?
Since my signifigant other is a Christian (and so am I), I know where we will spend eternity. I am just curious as to how many of you out there would willingly and perhaps literally die for Christ.

I was baptized when I was younger and was wanting to know if I could be baptized again. The reason I want to know is because when I was younger, it was something my mom had set up. Now that I am older, I want to be the one who has the say so. Is this common in young adults? Thanks and God Bless

Jsut curious to know ( As Gods Church should we not strive to ensure that the word of God is the foundation of our Policy and doctrine and not let the idea's and speculations, culture or racism of men affect us.

I believe when the Bible indicates that God spoke an told them not to marry outside of there kind it was talking about interreligious not interracial terms. Correct or Incorrect?

The last week I've done much surfing online for Christian topics. I was surprised that several websites offering audio, video, or print teachings are affilated with Seven Day Adventists. It's literally impossible to search for anything Christian related, and not eventually stumble upon one of their sites.

A few examples of their many websites are: Amazing Facts, Voice of Prophecy, It is Written, Great Controversy, Harvest Time Books, Good News Unlimited, and it goes on and on.

Does anyone know what has enabled the SDA church to pick up their teaching and preaching ministries so quickly, and why do they often entitle their websites by different names, so that it's almost impossible to determine they are SDA related?

Until you come across something which mentions The Sabbath, Ellen White, or other SAD teachings, one would never know the site was Seventh Day Adventist related. What has caused the recent increase in their teachings? Increase in membership?

Thanks

Mathematical Odds of Jesus Fulfilling Prophecy.

Info from the book "Evidence that Demans a Verdict" by Josh McDowell.

The following probabilities are taken from Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1963) to show that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. Stoner says that by using the modern science of prabability in reference to eight prophecies, 'we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 to 10^17.' That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehen this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 10^17 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep.
Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that it is the right

A little over a year ago, I met a Gypsy Tarot reader in Erie, PA at a little cafe that was doing a "Ladies' Night". She lives in Lily Dale, NY. I think her name was Virginia, but I am not sure. Her reading has been right on! The things she predicted have become true. And these were not general presumptions that could apply to anyone. They were rather specific. I am amazed. Would love to have a similar experience.

If there were no God, would you rather have the truth revealed to you or would you rather continue to believe.

And if you are unable to answer the hypothetical, I would prefer you didn't answer at all. Not that this will stop you or anything.

forgive us our trespasses. Who are you referring to? Isn't your prayer inclusive of those you despise like Atheist. Wouldn't your prayer be enough for them to be delivered from hell without them asking for it?

I mean you have monotheist (people who believe in one God) who don't like polytheist (people who believe in many God's). I don't understand the big debate. A monotheist just worships the creator in totality while the polytheist worships a side that they feel connected to, any way you look at it we are all worshiping and feeling a connection to the creator so why can't we all just glorify and be happy in the similarities instead of killing each other over our variances?
