Wow, I'm not sure I can imagine what religion/belief would be stereotyped as chandelier-swingers, so I'm curious.
Anyway, as an atheist (which is a LACK of religion/beliefs, so I hope it still counts for purposes of your question), I think one of the biggest stereotypes, or at least the most dangerous, is the idea that an atheist cannot be ethical or has no reason to be. Explaining why this is wrong to a satisfactory level would probably eat up way too much space though.

Within the Christian religion, I believe the biggest misconception is that people believe they are "saved" by simply accepting Christ as their savior, without becoming a follower of him. From the outside, I believe the biggest misconception is that people believe that Christians think they are better than other people. Which is not true at all. True Christians recognize their own evil nature and that they are helpless to do anything about it and need salvation in Christ.

Well, most people aren't too familiar with Ásatrú. But there are some misconceptions like for example that we worship idols, or the devil; that it's a Neo-Pagan religion or a branch off of Wicca, or that its a White supremacist religion; that we just like to play Viking and get drunk on mead.
(I must admit, mead is a good drink.)

That Christians are supposed to be perfect and that they are blamed for all the evil that fake Christians do. Also they think Christians have a superior attitude because they believe that God is true and that the Bible is true. These are all misconceptions and so true believers are cast into a category of religion called Christianity. A true Christian does not consider themselves to be religious but have adopted a lifestyle centered around Christ.

Atheist/evolutionist... there are really too many misconceptions to list and retain the will to live. But I'll settle for people thinking that evolution came about by chance. That is the ne plus ultra of not knowing what the hell you are talking about.

Definitions of various words, such as: emptiness, selflessness, self-concept. Other misconceptions are figuring in cultural additions to Buddhism instead of separating what constitutes REAL Buddhism from cultural "additions", who the Buddha really was, that altruism is pacifist (incorrect thinking about "altruism"), that compassion means letting people run all over you (which is NOT the correct concept of "compassion" in Buddhism)... I could go on for days, I think you get the idea.

well i'm agnostic and the biggest misconception on some people's behalf is that we are fence sitters who hold on to a belief just in case when in reality agnosticism is about the belief that the existence or nonexistence of a higher being is unkowable and i've heard and seen that certain people suggest that agnostics are immoral and whatnot to which i say whatever since they don't know me to judge me in the first place

That we are "mind washed", or pontificate because we haven't any further something more effective perfect to do. that we've our "own" bible. That we do not position self belief in Jesus (which somewhat ridiculous), That we do not love our toddlers, That we are component of a few secretive cult, and so on. And the record is going on and on. yet we anticipate it, as Jesus followers might want to be seperate from the international and can want to be hated on behalf on his call.
