The collar itself, no. Acting in a manner which is offensive is offensive. Collar or no collar.
The central point of being an atheist is to believe that religion in general and God in particular is meaningless because both exist only in the imagination. They have no objective, rational, ascertainable reality. It is all a fairytale. To be an atheist is to not care, and not be bothered by such irrational silliness. Therefore wearing a collar should be more offensive to the atheist than to anyone else; because to put on a collar - to offend or shock - shows that you really do believe in God and in His adherents.
Dear Jack, it is a rookie mistake to confuse atheism and satanic worship. They are not the same, in fact they are opposites. As stated above an atheist doesn't believe in anything, whereas a Satan worshiper buys into the whole Judea-christian myth with a little bad-boy twist.
Jack, if you're an atheist dump all symbols- the pentagram - because they are not rational; if you're a satanist dump the intellectual scrim of atheism because you still are praying to one of God's mythic creations.
Be one or the other, can't b both, it's offensive. Kind of like wearing a collar.

I wear them all the time. My girlfriend and I enjoy religious sexual role-play. My clothing is purchased through a company that supplies churches with everything from communion wafers to alters. It is an actual priests shirt and collar.
Bonus: I own 4 of these shirts. They have all paid for themselves in free coffee and food at restaurants.
Frankly, I don't care if it offends people. Thats their problem, not mine.

Not at all unless the person was using it to try to commit some sort of crime and it was part of their disguise. Like if they went door to door collecting 'donations' or something pretending the money was for a church. I just don't like criminals.

Why would you want to? Other than to do some mischief and get a good man blamed for it. Please, allow me to tighten that collar for you. YBIC
