It's because an Atheist is seen as doing the same thing a person who calls themselves a Christian but doesn't have the spirit of Jesus Christ is doing, which is the same thing that a Satanist is doing, that is, serving the devil. In fact, Satanists who were once Christian served God in truth but not in spirit, and can repent as long as they are alive, if they have the least desire to do so, because that desire is put in their heart by the Holy Spirit, not manufactured out of their own will. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

You either serve God or you serve the devil. The belief that you serve the devil if you are not serving God is based on the fact that the devil rebelled against God and that's what people who don't serve God are doing. They don't consider not believing in him, or acknowledging him as their maker, or even believing that salvation is freely given to all who repent and believe as rebellion against God but it is.

I don't think that. How can you worship something that you don't believe in. But I am a christian and very far away from being Satanic. Whoever told you that you were the closest is wrong.

A great many people can, and do, serve Satan without believing in him. In fact, atheists are very likely his most reliable slaves, at least on earth.

Look, there's two person that you can serve in life: God or satan.
If you don't serve God you're automatically serving satan, willingly or not.
If you think "I do not mean to serve the devil, but I don't want to serve God", then you're playing the devil's game.
satan does not want you to serve God, so if you do anything else (and I really mean ANYTHING) is all right: he's content enough that you don't get closer to God, because in this case you run the terrible risk of being saved.
You are convinced that you harm no one in believing what you do, but think about the people you are influencing into believing your way by simply sharing your ideas.
All this is the devil work: you don't want to serve him? Fine, but as long as you aren't serving Jesus, it's all right, for him.

I personally have not thought of atheists in that way, believing in Satan. I wish you did believe in Him because then you would also believe in God. General Romeo Dallaire who was the UN commander in Rawanda was asked the question on an interview. "Do you still believe in God". Gen. Dallaire replied,"Yes, because I have seen the devil."

don't be so paranoid, and that's a drastic generalization. stop accusing others of making mass judgments on all atheists and then maybe you'll meet a group of Christians who don't pass judgment on all people with different opinions and/ or faiths.

Well... if you don't want to have anything to do with God, that is what satan wants from you so... you can still turn around and God can give you a chance. GOD LOVES YOU AND HE BELIEVES IN YOU.
