I don't! I'm a christian. I'd like to think that i'm very open minded. I had a friend in high school who was goth and a lot of people looked down on here cause they had this conception of her and her image. They thought she was this devil worshiper and drank blood and all that, but she wasn't. So what she didn't believe in God. It didn't bother me. I had no problem with it. I say her as a person. I got to know her and saw that she was artist, funny, smart and pretty girl through and through. She didn't judge anyone as well.

Stereotyping. Most Christians (and for that matter, most other people) associate goth and witchcraft together. Partly, this is because sometimes, a goth also dabbles in witchcraft (but not all do). Also, whenever Hollywood wants to show a teenage "witch" on television (not counting Sabrina and Willow), they have the character dress like a goth. I'm not saying it's right, but that it's what Hollywood does.

Most Christians struggle with goth style because to them it represents an opposite set of values than what they have. The Black clothes speak of rebellion and satan. The silver and chrome jewelry speaks of bondage....and most feel that Christianity speaks of freedom....not bondage. I understand that many goths are simply seeking answers to life's big questions. They gather together with those who are also seeking answers. They may be hurt or jaded by 'christians' who did not behave and Christians should. They often turn their back on religion and church and Christianity because of it all. Some goths find their way into spiritism and satan worship and wicca...and Christians are saddened when they learn that...as those groups worship the creation instead of the One who created it all. I go to the top. God is Lord of All. He loves me and He loves you too. Take your eyes off people and get them on God and you will discover all the answers to your questions...!

My best friend is a goth, and I'm the most ardent Christian he knows. Maybe it's not the fact that they're goth as much as it is the things they do/believe/advocate or the way they treat other people. I could dress up goth if I wanted and persecute other people without being one.

Because most modern day Christains arn't that good at being Christains, they fear what they don't know and lay a claim on things that are not there's to say. Most Christains in today's society are bastards who hold the bible and do not look into it. They shouldn't be so offended by it as Cathloic priests dress in black clothes and do you know why?! Does any modern day Christain know why?! Probably not...because Black banishes negitivity, so there's nothing wrong with people covering themself's with it.
Christains are just afraid of anything that could hurt them, they cling to there religon as a soap box so they don't have to admit that they don't know anything and that there better than anyone else.

because 90% of christians have no idea what the bible says or what they actually say they believe.
Real christians dont judge you by what you wear.
Take heart.. there are some christians who love Jesus, dont hate gays, believe in helping the poor, dont judge you because of your dress and dont want you to give them money.
Its the others that get all the press.. and I must admit.. Our self proclaimed christian leaders have been bought off with political power and money.
But take heart.. a real christian is the best friend you can ever have.

I don't know why, but I don't have any problem with them. I actually happen to like them. But some Christians don't know how to love as Christ and act hypocritically.
