So 'if' demons existed, and if they were real and if you discovered them (or had already I'm not here to deny anyone the right to claim anything) then how do you fight them? Through prayer, ritual, exorcism...in fact better yet what could a demon do to you? What kind of powers would they have over you psyche or you're body? And please leave the Charmed stuff out of this, I mean how would you fight them as close to reality as you can get when talking about demons? Like you've probably heard at one point or anything Ghosts can't cross a line of salt? So in that case, what weaknesses and strengths do demons have? HOw do you find out? Is it specific to the kind of demon? Or is it specific to the person and there exact belief's(becasue demons exist in almost every culture.) If anyone has any idea's as too any of this I would appricate it. There is alot here to answer, but I'm willing to hear it all.

The Bible and prayer. Quoting scripture out loud is how Jesus defeated Satan and commanded him to leave. God is the one who fights against them. We are not strong enough. There is no magic ritual that can overpower them. It is only by using the authority given to us by Jesus that we can overcome the devil. If you are curious about the reality of the supernatural, I would recommend you read the book, "A trip into the supernatural" with Roger Morneau. It goes into depth about his true life experiences with the unseen realm.

How can you write a book about something you know nothing about. First of all you have to believe they exist. If you want to know about demons... learn about their source...angels. Thats what they were before they became demons. Try the book by Terry Law.. The Truth About Angels (Orlando, Fla.: Creation House, 1994)
Deliverance from demonic possession is received during exorcism by a Holy Spirit filled minister who has spent time in prayer and fasting. Demons have the ability to control the body in in which they dwell. They can take over your will and make you do what you do not want to do. How many murderers have you heard say..."a voice told me to do it". Sometimes they think it is God speaking to them, but God does not go against His Word... and tell people to kill. Satan does however. He is a liar and a murderer.
As far as the salt and ghost thing.... salt is not going to stop a spirit.....!!! Superstition! Ghosts are demons...evil fallen spirits. Demons hate the following....Holy Spirit filled believers in Jesus who know their spiritual authority.... Jesus name and the blood of Jesus....The Word of God... and the testimony of a bloodwashed saint of God.
Fasting and prayer makes a believer more sensitive to the spirit realm and closer to God. You can learn more about a specific demon in prayer...as the Holy Spirit speaks to you and gives you direction and spiritual insight (DISCERNMENT)
Another older book, but good, though I do not agree with it totallity is "Pigs in the parlor" by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond, Pigs in the Parlor: A Practical Guide to Deliverance, (Kirkwood, Mo.: Impact, 1973)
My recommendation...keep your eyes on Jesus...not on demons

from what i know demons have no actually body and are only spirits unless they posess you, which onvolves complete physical and mental takeover. and considering most of the time the demons people talk about are from christian lore, i would think that exposing them or the person they posess to christian items or rituals, such as holy water or prayer, that would at least hurt them a little
