I just can't imagine falling into that line of thinking. It's impossible for me to pick up a bible, read it, and say 'yep, thats absolutely without a doubt the truth of all things'. I've read it and during the process was amazed that people take it as literal word.
Is it a good lesson of morality using parables and allergories? Sure, it does provide good learning instruction. Why people disregard that and start trying to take it word for word as historical fact completely amazes me. Most people don't take it as literal fact because they've become learned and educated enough to see through and past that.
So, back to the question, since I obviously don't believe in the Bible as fact, why do I get so many answers from people that just copy/paste verses like they actually witnessed it themselves, like suddenly I'm going to be like 'oh, I never thought about it like that, Jesus did resurrect because a book said so, wow, thanks'
Are people really this gullible today's time?
