What is there to be proud of? You didn't invent Christianity, did you? What is your accomplishment? This is like saying, "I am proud to have a name".

no different kind of pride than that is talked about i am very proud to be called one of his children are you proud to be a child of anyone is that wrong..... the sinful pride you are speaking of is arrogance and not being able to listen to reason shrugging off the truth by saying i am right you are wrong even know the truth is staring you in the face yet you are still proud IE stubborn pride ring a bell that is the sinful pride that is talked about

It isn't surely saved by his own efforts, so why should a christian be proud of it?

Why should we be proud of our christianity-it was Jesus death on Calvary and His resurrection victory of sin,satan and eternal seperatrion from God and that by His grace we are saved if we believe on Him,so what have we to be proud of in all of that?

yes, boosting is a sin, but i don't think you shouldn't be proud that your a christian.
