Yes, one can, if one is not prone to defend one's point of view to an extreme. Let's say that we agree that our subject is non-rational. For the sake of argument, let's say the existence or non-existence of God.
We could acknowledge that no verifiable proof exists on either side of the argument, and focus our exploration on the results of belief or non-belief, or perhaps the effects of these opposites on behavior.
It is a valuable exercise to allow oneself to actually hear the arguments of those who hold beliefs we do not ourselves hold, and can sometimes lead to an enlightening synthesis of points of view.

Sure rationality is a behavior and a way of acting. Rationalizing is a way of understanding. You don't have to understand the subject to understand having a conversation.

You could have a logical conversation, at least. Think about Santa Claus, you could discuss him rationally even though he's not real.

'Yes. We've had rational conversations in college about ancient mythology, etc. It's possible.
It's the irrational people who cause the problems.

Absolutely. On Answers, though? Probably not. The average IQ round these here parts is somewhere around Forrest Gump.

Sure they can, it isn't that difficult, I can talk to you about entropy (which by nature is the spreading of disorder/irrationality), irrationality itself, pi, the scientology, women, or God perfectly rationally.
