You all have heard the story of Noah building the ark and others laughing because they thought he was nuts right?

Do you know I cannot find that ANYWHERE in the bible? It is mentioned in the Koran but I cannot find it in the bible. Have you guys read it in the bible?

If someone can kindly provide the verses I will greatly appreciate it.

I am referring not to the general Noah story but specifically to the part of others jeering him and thinking he was crazy.

I've just always been taught that, and when I went to reference it one day during a discussion I couldn't find it.

Someone was trying to get a moral reference for a children's story and I couldn't find that part (laughing, thinking he was crazy) anywhere.

I've tried googling. Any help much appreciated.

hmm interesting i shall look now.. your right i dont read it either. weird, ive been taught that all my life as well. did u know that noah didnt take just 2 of every animal but instead he had 14 of some?

yet another lie we are told because people pass some things down by word of mouth rather then to read.

btw, nice how no1 answered your question you were asking. instead they told you where the story was, and copy/pasted the story itself.

It is found in Genesis 6:14+ goto http://www.blueletterbible.org

The Raelians have a different belief to what the Ark was, they believe that the Ark was a craft that could go into space, all of the animals of the world couldn't possibly fit into the Ark so it was the DNA of each species that was saved unto the Ark. You can download for free their bible if you like here http://www.rael.org it's the Intelligent Design book. It's a really interesting read too!

Anyway have fun

The story about Noah can be found in the Bible in Genesis chapters 6-9.

Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 6:8-9

God Bless You

You can only mean the part about the others laughing at him. The story of Noah is most definitely in the Bible (and plenty of others have provided you with the verses).

Genesis around 6 to 20 something I believe... Though I don't think it talks about "people laughing at him"... I mean it's pretty hard to laugh at a man somehow getting at very least 188,500 sqare feet of wood from trees with very thin trunks and using it to build and ark of 1,518,750 cubic feet, with 3 decks, filled with seperate compartments for different animals by himself with his 3 sons...

So yeah, ridiculous the story is, but it IS in the bible.

genesis quite early maybe chapter 4 or 5 is chapter 6
11Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13And God said to Noah, "I have determined to make an end of all flesh,[c] for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14Make yourself an ark of gopher wood.[d] Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. 15This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits,[e] its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits. 16Make a roof[f] for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks.
