I think the church is a big business, and they promote fear of the unknown. I know a lot of you are gonna rip me, but I dont really care. If you educate yourself, you will come to the realization one day that there is no heaven or hell, and therefore no god.

Since so many of the religious types like visiting the LGBT section to discuss religion, we are going to come here and discuss LGBT issues.

Guys, do you get upset when your man will not attend worship services with you?

For all the 'one-way-or-no-way' perspectives, doesn't it ever bother you to think that millions upon millions of people disagree with your absolute truth and have their own absolute truth of their own?

If you're so absolutely sure, wouldn't it be noticable for everyone else to the degree that they would have no choice but to agree with you? How can you be 100% sure that your view is 'fact' beyond faith when countless of people can point out how and why it's not 'fact'?

I'm not instructing you not to have faith, but I am pointing out that your faith certainly is 'not' fact for the rest of the world. Your belief, each to their own, but when you start trying to legalize and incorporate your religious belief as 'the one way', you're endangering everyone else from the free will of decision and beliefs we are entitled to.

I've come to that conclusion, I guess it could be an atheist view, but I don't really consider myself a full-blown atheist because I can't finalize the conclusion 'there is no God'.

I come across so many people who are so paranoid and afraid of what they do in this life and what will happen to them after death. I'm well-aware there are consequences for actions, and I know this life is the only guarantee I know is certain. It feels good to help people appreciate life just by having experiences with them.

I hang out with everyone, and questions of faith, God, etc, are brought up solely for the amusement and enjoyment of conversation. I don't feel I'm evil that should feel guilty nor do I feel I'm worthy of this great awesome paradise simply because I don't really know if it's that simple to comprehend.

If I'm existent due to pure accident, I'm happy. If I'm a descendent of species I evolved from? Cool.

I guess I'm just happy to be alive, I don't feel its a bad thing

Would a Christian be required to snitch on you so as not to break the "bear false witness" commandment?

It would be best if not an obvious Catholic movie (The Ten Commandments or other such movies). Thanks for the help!

"Jesus likes it when I poo on his chest after sex"?!?!?!?!? I'm pretty hard core atheist, but this kind of comment is just ignorant. What kind of statement are you trying to make? Is this really the kind of impression you want to make on people? Did you really accomplish anything?

Really, people, I'd appreciate it if you tried to be a little more intelligent. You're making the rest of us look bad. How does everyone else feel?

god told his followers: "above all else, remember these commandments; love thy neighbor as you love yourself, and love your one true god." Yet now, their are holy wars among the muslum community, over 200 factions of christinanity in the united states, and endless religious debate amonst every person. and we wonder why athiests are on the rise. why can't people who are the children of the same god get along?

How can you be half way? Either you believe that everyone else is headed for eternal damnation, or you don't. If your life on earth is so insignificant relative to eternal salvation, how can you not be a fanatic about it?

Each time I ask a question about FSM, some abuser reports my question and it is deleted. I have written to Yahoo! answers complaining that I am being discriminated against, and already they have restored one of my questions, and I am waiting for a response about the other one.

I also have asked Yahoo! Answers to consider suspending report button abusers.

So my question, do you feel that you are discriminated against because of your religion if you are an FSM follower or not?

Do you think report button abusers should be suspended for their biggoted actions?

This is an answer i hear quite often, but one which i find invalid. I am a christian myself. for example, a friend of a friend said there cannot be aliens because they are not in the bible. I have also heard the same for dinosaurs and other such things. well, just because it does not mention something in the bible, does that always have to mean that it does not exist? there may be no mention of it's existance, but is there any mention to it's non-existance? i am not just talking about aliens and dinosaurs, but all things to which this excuse is given.

The book of Revelation tells us about 3 "figures" who will arise in these end times, in opposition to Jesus Christ and His Church. These figures are: the Antichrist, the Beast, and the Dragon (aka: serpent).
The Antichrist will be a man, the Beast will be a political system that brings war to the earth. The Dragon is identified with the devil (Satan).
ok, so now u see what they ay be. with all of todays events, who is the antichrist? who is the beast or what type od political system? and when they say dragon(beast) do uthey mean actual ugly beast looking thing?

Seems like something a little kid does with sand castles or something. He wanted it perfect, then something happened that cause it to not be perfect, so he decided to tear it down and try to make it perfect again. God is like the little kid, and we and earth are the sand castle.

You are a Christian and you are very devout. Your husband is not and your son is rebellious in his faith. He starts bringing home his girlfriends and having sex with them in his bedroom. You know this because their noises are disgusting and you can hear them from other rooms. You tell him he must not do this. You say he may bring his girlfriends home and sit in the living room and watch t.v. or visit or something but this type of behaviour is not o.k. in your house and if he insists he must go somewhere else. He says too bad I am doing it anyway. Your husband supports your son. What would you do?

Hasn't he said in the past the world must be Islamic to please the Mahdi and that would come by bloodshed and world chaos? Who knows about his ideas on this? The March equinox is not that far away. Considering his stated mission of world conquest can Muslims or anybody who knows comment on this event?

I don't really want to have the world run by people that don't value life in the now and would give it up in an instant over something so debatable and unproven.
