False. Jesus showed us there was dignity in putting up with the suffering. Suffering in itself is the righteous judgment of God. It is the reward for sin and because it involves sin it is ugly and uncomfortable. This is why many people have a hard time standing beneath the cross. The cross of Jesus as well as their very own relative's cross. Look how many people are left alone in the nursing homes. The dignity is in acceptance.
