Not really, since neither of us has attended regularly for a long time.
This is because our house of worship made it very clear that they were bigoted against LGBT people. They also showed their hypocrasy by trotting out the old "love the sinner, hate the sin" malarkey when they obviously hated both sinner and sin.
Don't you hate it when piety-mouthing hypocrites have nothing better to do than preach bigotry, discrimination, hatred and therefore violence against LGBT people?
Of course, not all Christians fall into this category - only a small, but vocal, black-hearted minority.

I'm a Christian woman, married to a man who is an unbeliever. (I got saved after we were married). Do I get UPSET when he doesn't come to church with me, no; what would be the point? I love and adore my sweet man for exactly who he is. Am I saddened by it; well that's another thing.
He has agreed to come to church with me once a month, but if he doesn't, I don't get upset. I PRAY!
He has a really great rapport with my preacher; and respects him a great deal, which is very positive, but pushing him would only push him AWAY!
We have open, honest discussions about our beliefs, and the lines of communication are unclouded. THAT'S what counts; PLUS much prayer!!

I count huge sort my advantages wide-unfold...it fairly is the only way i will see in the process the distress. i'm so blessed to have a healthful, smart, and appropriate daughter, my very own wellbeing, the human beings in my life that we proportion love and time mutually, and that i'm blessed to have been given yet another attempt at making life better. ...And as we communicate, i'm fantastically grateful that I survive intense floor out of water's touch. a lot of my pals lost each thing as we communicate with the flooding in Atlanta.

Hehehe. Well, I have no problem with y'all discussing LGBT issues here, it might make it more interesting. I agree, there's been a lot of nutcases posting stuff over there in that section.

I am glad to hear that you go to Church and worship, good for you. Christ loves you to. I tried to ask a question in that section and got the boot. It was not religious either. I have a gay son and I wanted to know how other gays talked to their moms about it. Anyway, I got the boot, so much for tolerance.

wow. what a nice collection of answers you've evoked so far...suprising! edit: I made this comment before the person above me posted. always has to be one in every bunch, unfortunately.
I, too, welcome you to R&S. My man and I are both godless heathens, so the question isn't applicable.
well, perhaps it is, since we plan to move to a city with a secular humanist group that meets twice a month. I like the idea of community and am excited to join, but he'd rather stay home and play video games. he did say he's willing to give it a try.

When I see pornographic icons depicting the homosexual act, displayed on this page then to me it confirms that the homosexual act itself promotes the type of behavior that says, “Let's all just lay it out there for everyone to see.” Isaiah 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
God has said that the act is an abomination and those who call them self Christian and say that God doesn't condemn what he says he condemns are condemning their followers.
1 Timothy 1: 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
As long as a person remains in the state of lawlessness they are under the law. A righteous man does not preach that what God has called an abomination is good.

I'm a woman and I don't attend worship, so I suppose I'm really really not qualified to answer this... but since we're all going places we shouldn't, I'm answering anyway!
If anything, it'd be my husband attending some sort of service. He's an agnostic deist so he's a teeny bit more of a believer than me... though not by much.
