Hasn't he said in the past the world must be Islamic to please the Mahdi and that would come by bloodshed and world chaos? Who knows about his ideas on this? The March equinox is not that far away. Considering his stated mission of world conquest can Muslims or anybody who knows comment on this event?

"Mahdi" is antichrist. Antichrist will come in different names to different peoples, and will deceive some. But I don't personally believe that he's coming this spring.
Only Jesus Christ is God, and only He can get you into heaven by faith in Him. Only Jesus can get you out of eternal hell.

They actually belive that it all began last fall and that it will culminate at the spring equinnox. If you can, get hold of the recent book by John Hagee, 'Jerusalem Countdown'. Fabulous! Available at Walmart and Sam's Club. They (Shia Muslims) believe that the 12th Imman who was 'hidden' as a child will return as the Mahdi (messiah) to establish the Islamic Kingdom on the earth. They believe it will take a neuclear holcast to do so. If the Pres of Iran has his way... he will try to launch his new 'toys' this spring to take over Israel and use that as a platform to take over the world. It is sick! Violent! And Pres. Bush is trying to prevent this insanity.Those who oppose his efforts to contain this violence need their heads examined. Thank You President Bush for standing with Israel. Most politicians just don't get it!

They may use this as an excuse to start a war. That's what I think will happen, if anything does. No one could possibly know when the Anti-Christ or Mahdi will show up. There are signs, but only God knows for sure.

This is blasphemy in my opinion. No human knows when they Day of Judgment will come, not even the Prophet's Jesus or Muhammad [Peace Be Upon them both] only God does.

the Mahdi in the Shiite sect ( which is what Iran goes by ) is quite different than the Mahdi in the Sunni sect
To them Mahdi is the 12th Imam who they have been waiting for for a long time.
to the Sunnis he is one of the great signs of the end of time
