We may not get along, but we do love each other. The problem is, some of us just don't act like it.
I have a friend who goes to church. All she does is insult me and continue to be rude to me. She tells everyone she hates me. She is the type of person that so many Atheists see as a "typical" Christian, when really, those type don't make up the lot of us. They are either new Christians or maybe they aren't totally into the Christianity thing.
I love her, and I am nice to her. My friends love her. The Christians in my church accept her. We love each other, no matter how much we disagree. I love the people who hurt me, and many of the people in my church do.
But all it takes is that small percent of Christians that do hate and that do bad things to each other that makes others who don't believe not want to believe in God. That's what makes the loving Christians sad...

My, oh my. That's the question I've been asking myself for years. It seems as though man has turned his love for God into a convienience and that it is no longer important about what is right or what God's word says; it's now about what fits our lives, is easy, and makes us feel good. So, why can't all God's children get along? Because WORDLY desires vary from person to person.

The answer is two words... Ego and Pride... To truly be one of God's People requires submission... The majority will never be able to come to grips with that.. so they continualy seek some loop hole that will get them an in with God... but no one will ever be able to come to God except by The Way He Prescribes... And they will never find The Way untill they are willing to submit themsleves To God Fully.

It is not the teaching of many of the religions or God that is at fault.
But man.
Man`s greed and lust for power that is the problem.
Man does not go to war over God. We go to war for control and the wealth that control of religion brings.

If all god wanted was our love, why didn't he create a wife? Sure she would nag him about taking out the trash, but at least she would believe in him
