Some of them do and some of them don't. Some Christians do believe in evolution. In fact when I asked for a recommendation for a book about evolution on this site, a Christian emailed with some ideas. Most people don't even think of doing serious research about the faith they believe in. It is not just Christians You are proof that some Christians do investigate their religion. You did, right? And it changed your beliefs. Some people investigate their beliefs and just shrug off what they find because they can't handle the discrepancy between what they believe and what they find in the world. I was a Christian for many years as well. Reading and studying as an adult made me discard my Christian heritage, too.

WHY DON'T ATHEISTS HAVE A DESIRE TO DO THE RESEARCH ON SCIENCE,EVOLUTION AND WHY THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN ? i my self have an on going desire to learn about
the world around me,science, evolution. and it leads me to the conclusion that the bible is right. i was an atheist for a long time, and the way they encourage closing your mind to any and all other possibilities baffles me.do people not like to think and learn or is blind faith a way of contentment ,so that life will be fulfilled without thought and reason?
yes! i accuse you of what you accuse me.being a christian is having a relationship with Jesus. if that was true you couldn't just decide him out of existence.probably you mean you were raised in a religion but didn't put much effort into studying it for yourself.or researching the bible for the truths.it most likely didn't fit the way you wanted to live so you found a new religion. atheism. yes atheism is as much a religion as being a baptist you take your doctrines of no god, no sin, no consequences, man as the creator of his own destiny, and put your Blind Faith in them, same as I do my doctrines. were really not that much different. Oh well,at least you didnt quote the bible at me.

I am a science teacher and also a christian. I think you would be suprised actually to the number of scientists that also believe in god. I read an article a few years ago that 2nd behind clergy scientists as a group had the highest percentage that believed in god. I certainly am interested in learning about science and believe in evolution. Evolution is something that can viewed on a micro-level when observing bacteria and other prokaryotic organisms. However I also believe there are many things science is unable to explain or account for and if you just look at the math of creation it just doesn't seem feasible for it to happen without some intervention. I feel that one can be a christian and also take an avid interest in science.

If you check science and read Bible both of them agreed on so many things... I mean all things, as a matter of fact, there is some information in the Bible that discover by science just recently while bible written way way back...
In order for man to know the existence of God and what God wants for men to do, he gave his Son to teach people the glory of God and with the aid of 12 apostles, all the things that Jesus said and done must be written so that man uses this as a guide to become righteous at sight of God.

If you had the manual for a Lamborghini in your house and knew the designer would you ask a boatright about your brake system? Why should a Christian seek an amoeba about life when they know the creator and have the WORD of the creator to guide them. And haven't you heard? Science is proving the Bible. GOD said "Come let us reason together," and "Come learn of ME." Where's the blind faith in that? And JESUS is the truth, the way and the life. Try studying that! A challenge for you that don't believe, if you're brave enough; challenge GOD to prove Himself to you. What have you got to lose? You don't believe in HIM anyway. Do you know what an atheist says to GOD? "We don't believe in you, now go away and leave us alone!

you're making an assumption that's totally unfaithful. There are some Christians, i believe they are referred to as Creationists, who study not basically the bible yet brances of technology which have contributed to the "theory" of evolution with the intention to tutor that evolution is faulty and advent is ideal. the option is genuine of a few those who firmly be counted on evolution. On channel 30 (on standard t.v., i do not recognize what the channel is on cable because i don't have cable) they tutor those style of audio device a number of them holiday to different universities and once they provide a presentation they engagae in psychological discussions with students who've realized about evolution. in addition they tutor debates between Creationists and Evolutionists each and every now and then, i hit upon those shows truly exciting and academic and would propose them to all and sundry who believes both way about the way the international start up or has questions with reference to the concern. with the intention to study why the Bible became created all one has to do is study the Bible itself, no branch of technology or the different portion of diagnosis might want to ever allow you to recognize that. i'm quickly to be 21 year previous African American females who's at present double majoring in Biology and Chemistry, I grew up in a penecostal Church over the technique those 21 years and that i'm a Christian. i respect technology and that i respect God yet i do not be counted on evolution becasue it isn't technology, it really is only a perception that's taught in colleges as hostile to advent. in case you do not believe me than carry out somewhat more desirable analyze my buddy.

When it all comes down to it, there really are only two choices to believe in. Either the universe came from a Supreme Being, or it came from nothing. Both take faith to believe, and neither one can be proven with science. Evolutionists have to exept it sooner or later.

They do, it's just when they do they decide to change because, like you they relize how confusing faith is. Others have difernet ways of coping. They will try to persuade themselves of something better, of something that can save them. W e all do that. I am halfway I think. I guess I'll find out when I'm older - or never.
