In revelations 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Does that mean that everybody on earth is going to be at a certain location? or does it mean the earth is flat?

It is based on the signs he gave at Matt. 24, 25,
Mark 13, Luke 21, etc.

Why in signs? because

1 Tim 6: 15 This [manifestation] the happy and only Potentate will show in its own appointed times, [he] the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, 16 the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see.

Since Jesus was reward with immortality, no man can see him, therefore he provided the signs we would need.

I am not sure, but I wonder if television might not come into play. Important events that happen in the world are always televised.
This may also be a reason for the peoples of the world being able to view the events concerning the two witnesses described in the book of Revelation.

You have probably seen a flash of lightning that covered an enormous part of the sky all at once. Now, imagine that lightning covering the entire state where you life. Now, the entire country where you life. Now, the entire globe. His brilliance - His brightness - will be so much more powerful than a flash of lightning, too.
Someday it will happen - in the twinkling of an eye. Christains will be caught up with him in a moment.

Personally, I think God wrote that knowing that there would be TV when the time came.

I wonder how many people would rush to their TV sets and turn on the news if it was claimed Jesus was coming in the clouds...

I know I would.

It means all will see the Lord on that day- All will know that HE is God! And as it says "Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess" --even though it will be too late for those who rejected Him before His coming- they will still beg for His mercy- but God's justice will prevail. God can make every eye see Him you know- God can do anything possible- and He will do as His word says~

OR what if neither was the answer. and possibly at one time God will just come apparent to everyone. Because we all know the earth is not flat.. Columbus proved that a long time ago.

Everyone will see Him when He comes back and every knee will bow to Him - I don't know how but this is Truth. Only God knows the "how" - we don't have all the answers. We just trust in the Lord and He is faithful. Blessings dear one.
