Karma is a perception. Asking is Karma real is similar to Asking is God Real? The believe in a God is a perception. For me Karma is a real thing and I believe in God too! I am a real to life Karma person... I would probably fit right in with the Earl the Karma guy TV program. I'm not a bad person though. I make mistakes though and consequence of mistakes often come about to bother me!

Karma is quite real in relation to what goes round comes back round but I think it is an innate human psyche and believing in it or not makes no difference. Think of a scenario where you unfairly wrong a good friend and the shame, guilt, pride, fear of repercussions if you own-up to your actions etc drives you apart. A few days, months or years down the line you encounter a problem that you know without a doubt your now ex-mate would have helped out with; at no cost, without question or making you feel/ putting you in their debt... only now you can not ask because the friendship no longer exists. I find these to be the most common expression of Karma. Some people learn from it while others miss the connection entirely.

If, by karma, you mean the whole past life thing...that's just nonsense. On the other hand, to the extent that karma is an accurate way of describing how habitual ways of behaving and thinking influence our lives over the course of time...then yes, karma is quite accurate in describing how and why our lives are the way they are. If you are in the habit of finding the rain cloud in silver lining, then it will be no surprise if your present life is pretty miserable. If you think, plan, and act towards happiness and success, then you have a much better chance of actually living it over time.

There are many problems with the salvation-by works doctrine of reincarnation. First, there are many practical problems. For example:
1. We must ask, why does one get punished for something he or she cannot remember having done in a previous life?
2. If the purpose of karma is to rid humanity of its selfish desires, then why hasn't there been a noticeable improvement in human nature after all the millennia of reincarnations?
3. If reincarnation and the law of karma are so beneficial on a practical level, then how do advocates of this doctrine explain the immense and ever-worsening social and economic problems - including widespread poverty, starvation, disease, and horrible suffering - in India, where reincarnation has been systematically taught through out its history?
There are also many biblical problems with believing in reincarnation. For example, in 2 Corinthians 5:8 the apostle Paul states, "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." At death, the, the Christian immediately goes into the presence of the Lord, not into another body. In keeping with this. Luke 16:19-31 tells us that unbelievers at death go to a place of suffering, not into another body.
Further, Hebrews 9:27 assures us that "man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment." Each human being LIVES ONCE as a mortal on earth, DIES ONCE, and then FACES JUDGMENT. He does not have a second chance by reincarnating into another body.

I definitely believe karma is a real thing. Sometimes it is f***ed up and bad things happen to good people & vice versa. But I think for the most part, karma happens to people.

Karma is a very real thing- it's sometimes hard to see it because I believe it can take more than one lifetime for what goes around to come around again.

Karma's a concept that describes a process. It's not an inherently existing "thing". Nothing arises without causes and conditions in the universe.

I think so. I notice that whenever I've been s hitty to people it comes back at me but when I do good, I get good things in return. Of course this isn't always the case. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to rotten people. But I think the scales balance themselves out in the end and if you've mostly been good then good things will come and if your an as shole in this world, watch out!!! Karma's coming to settle the score.

i guess that depends on if you believe in it. it basically is the idea that what you do comes back to you. there is good and bad karma. i have a hard time believing in it just because i know a lot of people that do great things and are wonderful people and they just have bad luck. so i guess its all based on personal opinion if it actually exists.
