Is Christianity the One True Religion?

Yes, Christianity is the one true religion. That may sound awfully dogmatic and narrow-minded, but the simple truth is that Christianity is the only true religion. Jesus said that He alone was the way to the Father (John 14:6), that He alone revealed the Father (Matt. 11:27; Luke 10:22). Christians do not go around saying Christianity is the only way because they are arrogant, narrow-minded, stupid, and judgmental. They do so because they believe what Jesus said. They believe in Jesus, who claimed to be God (John 8:58; Exodus 3:14), who forgave sins (Mark 2:5; Luke 5:20; 7:48), and who rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29; John 2:19f). Jesus said that He was the only way. Jesus is unique. He was either telling the truth, He was crazy, or He was a liar. But since everyone agrees that Jesus was a good man, how then could He be both good and crazy, or good and a liar? He had to be telling the truth. He is the only way.
Christianity is not just a religion; it is a relationship with God. It is a trusting in Jesus and what He did on the cross (1 Cor. 15:1-4), not on what you can do for yourself (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Buddha didn't rise from the dead, nor did Confucius or Zoroaster. Muhammad didn't fulfill detailed prophecy. Alexander the Great didn't raise the dead or heal the sick. And though there is far less reliable information written about them, they are believed in.
The scripture is right when it says in 1 Pet. 2:7-8, "This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone,' and, 'A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense'; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed." (NASB).

The Mathematical Odds of Jesus Fulfilling Prophecy

"The following probabilities are taken from Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1963) to show that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. Stoner says that by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 1017." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 1017 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."
Stoner considers 48 prophecies and says, "we find the chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies to be 1 in 10157, or 1 in 10,00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 000,000,000."

(This information was taken from the book Evidence that Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell.)

The estimated number of electrons in the universe is around 1079. It should be quite evident that Jesus did not fulfill the prophecies by accident. He was who He said He was: the only way (John 14:6).

no matter what faith you have, no matter religion you end up following, God does not have to follow you or come closer to you. He is here, He is in you, He created you. You have to open yourself to Him. Open you heart, mind and soul to Him and just let Him in. By asking God to draw more closer to you, you are testing God and no one shall test or tempt God. He will not heed to that. We do not command Him, He commands us.

Miracles happen all over the world in all countries, to different peoples. The tree in Australia is just a coincidence because there is a tree in Minnesota that looks the same but smaller and faces the direction of Mecca. There is a cliff in Hawaii that resembles the profile of Mary with Child. You can look at many different mountains and trees and bushes and such as see things and these are just the way they grew and formed. These aren't miracles. If a large straight tree that people have seen for 40 years one day was bowing the next day, then we can talk. Water in Mecca never finishing, I don't know about this. There are 2 rivers that flow north when all other rivers flow south. Are those miracles? Undefeated Muslims in wars?? that's only because Muslims have never stopped fighting anyone. They only continue fighting one country after another without ceasing, no matter who dies and no matter how many die. Other countries take 'breaks' between wars. How is that a miracle? Your 'miracles' aren't examples of miracles at all.

You aren't confused of what religion to follow, you are just plain confused on world facts. Calm down and relax and take a vacation. Enjoy nature and find God there and just pray to Him one on one. None of us and no book can help you find God. Only you can find God. God bless and good luck!

Erfan, if you're going to be another desperado looking for 'signs' to support false religions, you will never progress.

For your information, the 3 gorges of china never dries up too, same with the yellow river. Why the tree is bowing down? Hey, there are millions of trees in this world, some are bowing towards the drain, is allah also there?

The point here is, if you are searching for God, start with the truth. Verify the truth, and check upon facts. Check and see if they even make coherent sense.

All religion is based on faith. God is beside you but without faith, you just cannot hear his answers. Then again, you name may not bewritten in the book of life. Not everyone here is going to heaven. Those people are here to strengthen our faith in God. God has choosen or not already choosen you to go to heaven. Either his spirit moves within you or it doesn't. Just because someone says they believe in God, does not put them in his book of life.

Daniel 12:1-2 Those found written in the book will be delivered. Those sleeping in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame.

Revelation 20:4, 12-15 Those who follow Christ's words that God sent him with get the privilege of reigning with Christ during the thousand years. Many books are opened, one of them being the Book of Life. The dead are judged according to their works. Those not found written in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire.

First, it requires faith before you can actually know God. There is a reason for this, but I won't get into that here. Second, miracle happen in all religions. All claim miracles. Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Wiccans, they all say they have miracles. Thus, we need to use something other than just a claim of a miracle. Our senses can easily be confused, thus, we should not put faith in our senses, but on our spirit. The miracles you listed are wishy-washy. That is nothing compared to the Hindu God Ginish drinking coconut milk! Thus, instead of being impressed with the things you mention, you should try to seek after an actual faith in something. God will only show himself to you after you have shown that you are willing to use faith first. Good luck.

"The Islamic teachings have left great traditions for equitable and gentle dealings and behavior, and inspire people with nobility and tolerance. These are human teachings of the highest order and at the same time practicable. These teachings brought into existence a society in which hard-heartedness and collective oppression and injustice were the least as compared with all other societies preceding it...Islam is replete with gentleness, courtesy, and fraternity."
(H.G. Wells)

"Islam is a religion that is essentially rationalistic in the widest sense of this term considered etymologically and historically....the teachings of the Prophet, the Qur'an has invariably kept its place as the fundamental starting point, and the dogma of unity of God has always been proclaimed therein with a grandeur a majesty, an invariable purity and with a note of sure conviction, which it is hard to find surpassed outside the pale of Islam....A creed so precise, so stripped of all theological complexities and consequently so accessible to the ordinary understanding might be expected to possess and does indeed possess a marvelous power of winning its way into the consciences of men."
(Edward Montet, 'La Propagande Chretienne et ses Adversaries Musulmans'. Also in T.W. Arnold in 'The Preaching of Islam')

God stays closer you than your own life vein. The problem is that you don't learn to develop your spiritual vision to thankfully recognize His presence.
God reveals His Holy Books to you. The problem is that you think you have the right to feel fed up with searching in books.
God gives you this opportunity to hear again about His boundless love, and still you don't care.
Finally, at seeing Him in the other world, don't say that you have not heard about Him, or you follow other people here in their denials.
They who humbly seek education fall not into confusion.

I think Jews, Muslims, and Christians should stop all this crap! We all worship the same God, we just have different Prophets that have told the stories of God differently. Christianity WAS Judaism, but it split off when Jesus came around. JESUS WAS JEWISH FOR GOD'S SAKE! Now, I'm no expert in Islam, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Islam and Judaism were pretty closely related back in the B.C. times.

Your state of confusion is for you to find the true path. God is not going to come to you and say look I'm here I'm real. That's why it is called "faith" You have to have faith in his teachings, signs and revelations. To have faith in what he says without him having to show himself. If you have read the Quran and do not feel that is God drawing you closer to him or that there is no clear signs and proof's in there for you. Islam is a submission of the heart to trust and have faith that what is revealed in the Quran is true and from God. If you feel you cannot submit your heart I'm afraid you are getting no more proof than the rest of us. You cant complain on judgment day that God sent you no clear signs or messages because he did, they are in the Quran if you choose to ignore them and not submit your heart then you only have yourself to blame.
These miracles happened because they are that, Miracles.

Perhaps religion is not the answer, but spirituality.

Just have a relationship with God.
