You are playing theme music for your real-life movie. You are getting to know someone; all about them, as a matter of fact.
Now, thanks to you, I can't get Julie Andrews spinning around in the Alps singing at the top of her lungs out of my brain-pan. Thanks a lot!

The best cure for obsessive music in the brain I've found is to replace it with Ringo Starr's song, "Photograph." A catchy little tune that takes over but becomes quite forgettable after a few minutes. When it leaves the other song is gone too.

Try this.....
I'm singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feeling
I'm happy again
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
'Cause the sun's in my heart
And I'm ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I've a smile on my face
I'll walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
'Cause I'm singing
Just singing in the rain

That's from The King and I. Showtunes stick in your head because technically they're very simple and repetitive. Go listen to the radio, or find an album where a singer has a deep voice and that should knock it out.

My kids were watching Mary Poppins the other day and I have been singing Supercalafragalisticexpialadocious for a week now. I know how you feel.
For some reason, Y!A decided to truncate the last 3 letters of Supercalafragalisticexpialadocious...

It's actually from The King and I.
I'm so sorry...there's nothing worse than getting a repeating song in your head that you don't want living in there. Listen to the radio / CD / iPod and try to get another song to replace it. Fast.

That's in the Sound of Music? I thought it was in the King and I. At least, that's where I heard it.

That's funny....I've got the line "I fleetly flee I fly!" going through mine. Not sure I got the lyrics right, but whatever.
I blame it on both American Idol and that car commercial - I think it's Kia - where they're singing that song.

That isn't from the Sound of Music. I can't place where it is from, definately Rogers and Hammerstein. Someone will let you know, I'm sure.

Fill your brain with something else in order to stop the song whirling in your brain.
