I am going to hawaii so I won'y be able to go to my regular temple. Still the temples in hawaii are beautiful but mostly Japanese.

I am non-denominational however I usually attend Vietnamese temple with a fluent friend.

At the temples I've attended the procedure is:
Travel about the temple to various shrines praying by holding a burning incense and moving your hands up and down while praying and/or reciting mantras.
Then we put donation money in the shrine boxes.
When we are through weusually look at the temple store, chat with nuns/monks, and admire the temple.

Are procedures different at the temples in oahu and kuai?

Have real people died for fairy tales? If not, then why do you think the apostles DIED for the "fairy tale" of the Gospel of Christ? Do you think that conmen would die for a lie?! Keep in mind that when Jesus was arrested, the apostles fled, but when they witnessed his resurrection, they were killed for spreading the gospel.
what are your thoughts?

and upset atheists who prefer to lead their own lives without Christian influence, have they ever considered leaving the country if they are forced to live under these standards?

I hear so many of them whine and whine about they are tired of Christians forcing policy down their throats, they want Christians to stop making laws, they don’t want to say God in the pledge, yada yada, but if it is this bad as they say, why are they still here? to me it's just another excuse to despise Christians because the last time I checked, it was congress not Christians making those policies and second, what has a Christian done directly to an atheist that would make him/her say that they are tired of Christians dictating the way he/she lives. If this is the case why do they still insist on living in this kind of malicious environment where they have no rights to choose and decide and be independent?

REPORTS TALLY BIRTH DEFECTS HIGH COST

By MIKE STOBBE, AP Medical Writer 20 minutes ago

ATLANTA - Birth defects lead to more than $2.5 billion a year in hospital costs alone, according to the first national studies to estimate their financial burden on U.S. families.

The reports are the most comprehensive to look at the costs of birth defects in at least 10 years, experts said.

The studies also will give many families their first real idea of the expense of a baby born with serious birth defects, said Dr. Nancy Green, medical director for the March of Dimes, which campaigns for birth defects prevention.

The first study, released Thursday, was done by researchers at the University of Arkansas and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and used 2003 data from 36 states.

Certain birth defects were particularly deadly: For example, about 85 percent of babies born with anencephaly — that is, born without all or most of their brain and skull — died in the hospital.

How do we know murder is wrong anyway?

What about rape?

Child abuse?

How do we really know.

Well how does one know that a line is crooked if they have never seen a straight one.

Does a fish feel comfortable when it is out of the water?

Well no because the fish is out of it's natural element it's natural surroundings.

So how do we know that things like murder and rape and child molestation are bad or might I say crooked?

Because we have seen or might i say are aware of the straight line.

What is that straight line? perhaps it is our conscience. BUt where did our conscience come from and why does it seem to never be wrong?

How do we know that the world that we live in is screwed up and uncomfortable?

Well I suppose it is the same with the fish. We are not in our natural element.

Therefore I propose there is another element that we must consider exists at least for human beings.

Merely something to think on

Would you choose being judged and having a chance of experiencing eternal joy and happiness if found worthy, and eternal damnation if found unworthy, or take the option of just ceasing to exist? This is assuming you have lived a pretty average life, and possibly broken most of the "ten commandments" Or whatever your religion judges you by. Nothing major, no rape or murder, but nothing spectacular, no priestly behaviors either. Just an average everyday American.

From their twisted responses and seeming confusion on what is 'romantic love' and what 'lust' and sexual desire is, it is no wonder they have the highest divorce and remarriage rate than anyone else.

the iranian prime minister states he whants the jews of the face of the earth .

in the Qur'an 5.51 it states " Believers, take not Jews nor Cristians for friends"
Tell me something and be honest!- ARE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS SUCH BAD PEOPLE TO LIVE WITH? ARE WE JUST GARBAGE FOR YOU TO DISPOSE OF, IN OUR OWN COUNTRIES? - THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NOTHING PEACEFUL ABOUT THIS!

why is this so important to islam?- you live in christian and jewish states that give you the chance to live a better life!

but jet, attacks on the countries such as USA , SPAIN, JERUSALEM , ENGLAND and so on are all to real!

We are tolerant of you,we are loyal to peace but get killed for it!

what is wrong with this picture?
please do not tell us that the qur'an doesnt say that, and the iranian never said that. your holy book is available every where, and the media might exagerate things ,but the iranian is out there talking lots of smack. So whats up?

World charities are big business these days and like all businesses, their aim is to stay in business. In a perfect world, their ultimate goal, their raison d’etre should be to rid the world of poverty, sickness and misery. But if they achieved this, they wouldn’t be in business any longer.

Solution: collect vast amounts of capital from developed nations, put in a token effort at helping the world’s poverty stricken that looks good for the cameras and skim off the excess capital into the pockets of employees. But like farmers, they’re careful not to harvest all the misery; they leave enough seeds there so that there will another crop for the future.
