I honestly can't begin to understand the concept of 'loving God more than the people you love"...if somebody can explain it to, I'd be thankful.

does it make sense to you that we are just born to live out our lives with no purpose? that we just do our 9-5, or fall in love, or to leave our mark on earth and then die after 60-70 years, never to be heard from again. Doesn't it make more sense that we have to worship a Creator, then we have purpose in life and death?

Not too long ago my Grandfather died.
He depended on his works and works alone to get him to heaven. He believed in Jesus, but he never was saved, because he thought that it was not needed. To him, good deeds were what he thought he needed to help his family and himself be together after they died.
You could just look into his eyes and tell that he was one of the sweetest people alive. He had such a kind and loving spirit, and he was loved so much in return.
He died a Mormon.
So, my fellow Christians is in hell right now?
If he is, then I can't help but hold back forgiveness. Something I have never done in my entire life. Not towards the wonderful man that I love, but towards something much higher.

So..lots of 'law' and 'government' questions around here...

How do you define 'freedom'... especially if you live in America? (and religion..)

Do you think the government does a good job of protecting that right?

Is your definition of freedom a selfish one or a constitutional one?

''The freedom of speech and of the press, and the right of the people peaceably to assemble and consult for their common good, and to apply to the Government for redress of grievances, shall not be infringed.''2 In this form it went to the Senate, which rewrote it to read: ''That Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and consult for their common good, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.'

-Constitution of the USA.

Did you notice free speech was allowed for the common good of people, not the gossip and slander of people?

(Media..)

Sigh..does anyone else notice that stuff?
