I haven't asked God for a personal blessing in God knows how long. I generally ask only for blessings to be shed upon those less fortunate than me. I feel selfish when asking for God's blessings.

i think it's because, although we have equal value as human beings, we are all so different people don't always see it that way. and people are just so full of fear--fear of being wrong, being hurt, going to hell, fear of the unknown, fear of life, fear of death, fear of looking like a moron
