Wouldn't it make more sense that their is not a time limit on God's mercy. For example if someone is a horrible person for their entire life but repents at the last minute, they will be forgiven. But what if they never get the chance to repent (such as a sudden death, or in their sleep). They get cast into hell, maybe for certain amount of time (if there is time) but what if they somehow repent after this? And if there is no time or ability to repent, what is the purpose of hell other than a scare tactic or revenge? (which is pointless).

i've been afraid to ask these questions in church, so please help me.

..that you are uneducated? your mental health is suffering etc?

I am Wiccan and a Witch.. I am actually rather intelligent and well educated as most Pagans actually are. I chose my path after years of looking into various ones and am far from ignorant, which also applies to many Wiccans and other Pagans. Just because you are shallow and ignorant, why assume everyone else is?

A very aggravated user answered my last question - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070118152507AAXT69n&cp=2 - by, among other things, suggesting that numerous similarities between the story of Christ's resurrection and other resurrection stories (such as Osiris, Mithra or Attis which precede the story of Christ) were inconsequential and coincidental.

Is that so?

Please answer with more than a "yes" or "no".

For some people it's very obvious, like the pastor at my church. It's clear to me that he is doing what he was born to do, but how do I know if I've fulfulled mine yet or if I have yet to do what I was meant to do? It doesn't seem to me like I've done much of anything, but I don't know what I should be doing. I try to be a good person and do what I can to help others, but it just doesn't seem like enough.

Seymore says they need broad and smooth doctrines to be able to ride up and down on, on a consteint basis. Mike says, they need something tight with guidence as to how fast they should pound the truth into others. How do you feel on this philisphoical question?

and how does a "flood", great as it is, produce enough pressure to make oil,
why is oil a limited resource and how long do you think it would take to produce another good batch of it, since the earth is only 6000 years old?...and would it take another great 'flood'?

How does a flood create oil, and where is the evidence for this astounding belief?

If you would have jury duty in court, and an atheist witness refuses to swear on the Bible, or a Muslim insists on swearing on the Q'uran...would you still find that witness just as credible?

(an answer the always eloquent 'My Preshus' gave on another question made me wonder about this)

I recently asked who was happy with their religion (or lack of)? The reason was due to so many Christians insisting that we are not happy, that we are lost and hopeless. That question was removed because someone (wonder who...) reported it. Now its back but better this time and I am not breaking any rules.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being really happy) who is happy with their religion (or lack of)? Then state what religion you are. Hopefully we can set this straight once and for all.

I will start...

9-10
I am a pagan

I mean how can you say your right and other people are wrong, just because you beleive it? And don't say the Bible to justify your answer. I'm not trying to start a debate or argument. I just want religions people to show me how Christians, Catholics, Baptists, Muslims, etc., aren't being ethnocentric?

“It is possible that we accept system of the Universe depended on the wise and powerful Creators. But the existence and continuity of this system there is no need of the Creator because when the Creator of the universe has made it in proper measure and subject to the system of cause and effect, whether the creator remains or not, this system will endure. It is in the same way like a watch that shows the correct time. It will continue to tick even if its maker is no more. A space rocket moves ahead in space year after year and continues to send reports to us. While those who had made it are no more?
