I have never heard the theory that the flood created oil.
But,
I do believe that one day in God's time is 1000 years in ours. So seven of his days to create the earth is 7000 years in mortal time. On top of that, we have no idea how long Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden before they fell.
So that gives plenty of time for the oil to have been made.
Jacob 4:8 Behold, great and marvelous are the aworks of the Lord. How bunsearchable are the depths of the cmysteries of him; and it is impossible that man should find out all his ways. And no man dknoweth of his eways save it be revealed unto him; wherefore, brethren, despise not the frevelations of God

How does a flood create oil? Very simple.
The flood (because it is a flood) washes large amounts of animals and vegetation into the sea where they sink to the bottom. The bacterial decay of the large amounts of dead animals / plants is inhibited due to anoxic conditions, this also kills fish as well due to the lack of oxygen. The washing effect causes large amounts of soil erosion which is dumped upon the organic matter. Later, when the land masses are all under water, there is no restraining of ocean currents which scour the sea bed lifting up large amounts of sediment which is held in suspension, and during lulls in the tidal movement, sediment settles on the already covered organic matter on the seabed.
Further, when the land masses were rapidly lifted up out of the oceans at the end of the flood, there was additional errosion, which formed many features such as the Grand Canyon, which added more layers to the already deeply buried organic matter.
The result is the organic matter was buried progressively deeper and deeper under sediment. As the layers of sediment build up, the weight of sediment causes a rise in temperature and pressure causing the organic matter to metamorphose, first into kerogen, and then, with more heat, it becomes oil in a process known as catagenesis. If the oil gets too hot, it undergoes thermal cracking and becomes natural gas.

Good point. I've often said that I wish people would stop worrying about how the world started and how it will end and focus on what's happening now.
As far as the Krishna answer...uh, that doesn't address the question. Don't just slap up a Krishna flyer when you don't know what to say. If you can't tailor your answer to the question, then you don't know enough about your religion to put it in context and therefore, you're a weak scholar. Try again when you can write an original answer to a question, or at least make a related comment.

Maybe you think all "creationists" as you call them are Christians... 6000 years??? Lol... but by the way God can do all things... how come there ain't enough fossils to prove Evolution, how come Archaeopteryx does not have an ancestor... the chest bone proves they were birds... Mutation??? How come Mutation brings DNA together in a diferent way, and creates a better species... were is the proof they became birds like the ones today? Any transitional form?
Show me a good mutation and i'll consider my words...
Example
A reptile became a bird, so an organ, example like the lungs of both are so different, how can they tranform??? Was it maybe a half breed? Have you seen any animal with those charachteristics(half bird-half reptile)... i would like to know... this is just a small example

Not only that, but the bible also mentions gold in Gen-2 when Adam was placed in the garden when the earth was supposedly created 7 days ago.
How long does it take gold to form as well?

The original creation of oil or petroleum is not well understood. There are several theories, but the matter is still one of scientific controversy. It is generally accepted however that the origin of oil begins with plant fossils, just as with coal. So no one can answer your question with good accuracy.

I would think either several hundred or perhaps millions of years. I don't think a flood would produce oil. By the way, I think the earth is very very old.

You know I can't answer really any of your questions; but I don't think that is what you really want any way.
You know why I believe in God ?
If there really is a heaven and a hell, and you will spend a eternity in one of them. I would like spend it in heaven. I thought about this some time ago now, and decided it was better to be safe then sorry. After I stated to get into church, I found I liked it and then started feeling better about myself. Now I help out with many things at my church and love it.
Just try Jesus if you don't like him you can go back to the old you.
Jesus is the way !
