God doesn't exist. He's not the one hurting people - his followers are. He's not a threat to freedom, to art, to culture, to sex, to science, to basic decency, to life itself - his followers are.

Read "The god delusion" and "letter to a christian nation".

Your stupidity has much depth. It is possible to have an argument without emotion. In most part people are not angry with a character they don't believe to be. It is the entire belief structure. It is possible to be afriad of imagination and angry at one as well but, that is a very non-exsistance suggestive thing to say.

Maybe you should read books by Jean-Paul Sartre, Richard Dawkins, and Charles Darwin.

There's your proof.

And C. S. Lewis writes books that do not interest me. That's why I'm not mad. I'm just not interested.

No, theists are angry at god for not existing. See, I can state things which aren't necessarily true about people whose thinking differs from mine just as well as you can. And I'll be sure to read that book when I'm in the Christian propoganda section of my local bookstore. So once again, have a nice life. :)

I'm not angry at something that doesn't exist.

Mere Christianity makes God no more existent than The End Of Faith by Sam Harris.

How can we be angry at a God that doesn't exist? We ARE most certainly annoyed by theists who demand that religion be taught in science class, legislated into secular government, forced on the unwilling for "moral" reasons, etc.

"they are so angry with him for not existing."

This question can not be answered correctly, because this statement is not true. I'm sure atheists only get upset when religious people shove their beliefs into the faces of people who don't want to be a part of it.

i'm not angry at your god, it would be like being angry at santa claus. what makes me angry is people insulting me for not believing their beliefs, people insisting that i will burn in hell for all eternity for not taking their beliefs as my own. what i'm angry at is the fact that your god's followers seem to embrace the self-righteousness that only your god would seemingly have, as if they are GOD himself and as if they know all there is to know about what is, was, and ever shall be, because some book told them so.
but i'm not mad at your god, he does give many people a sense of peace, completion, security, and happiness to name a few. and i think that's just grand, it's better than any gift santa's ever left for anyone.

I've never known an Atheist who was angry with God for not existing. Please explain that remark further for a more in-depth answer.

Don't mistake anger at you for anger at God.

It is you who are proposing the limitations of Christianity be placed on even those who do not adhere to that faith.

Keep your religious hands off mine and my friends' civil rights!
