No proof.
I know we got here by evolving.
Oh, you mean the universe. The Big Bang.
No, there didn't have to be "something" that made everything.

Because god is unprovable and unfalsifiable.
If you're going to believe in a deity that lives in heaven, but you cannot see, hear, smell, or sense in any other way, you're going to need a helluva lot of proof to prove he's there other than some ancient books written by bronze aged nomads and philosophy.
Like it or not, creationism and theism is a philosiphy.
You're trying to prove that life is so complex that there's no other way to describe its complexity other than a creator and disregarding the theory (which has a lot of field research) that says how life takes a long time to reach complexity.
Simply put, I don't believe in god because I don't believe in intelligent space aliens from Alpha Centuri 6.

You are asking the wrong question. Atheists don't tend to think to hard about a higher power, the general explanation being that science can explain the creation of the universe and earth, the evolution of man and all species and of course science CANNOT prove the existence of God therefore God does not exist.

Analytical thinking, meditation, study, etc. led me to agreement with the Buddhist philosophy.
As Buddhists we believe that people are here because we take rebirth here... we call it cyclical existence, or samsara.
The creation of the universe are the structures (i.e. causes and conditions) that came together in just the right way (however science figures it out) to cause the universe to come into existence... perhaps the destruction of a universe before... point being... all things arise due to causes and conditions, all things are impermanent, etc. NOTHING is inherently existent, but then we don't believe in linear time as most Western philosophy does.

Why do you believe in god? The burden of proof is on the theists, it always has been. As for how the universe came into being I imagine it did in much the same way you believe your god to have come into existence. Have a nice life. :)

Your afraid to question god. how can one believe in a supernatural being afterall the science and technology we have accomplished over the years, If we only see god when we're dead how would we know about him? and for that matter how would we even know what hes like? Its people like this that belive the "Virgin" Mary never had sex. which is, of course, extremely obsured, considering she gave birth

I hope people go easy on you. The theological path of thinking is dense to trudge through and I would actively avoid doing so at length if under the age of 10, and worry about the basketball game or little betty liking you, but if you feel you must:
Let me suggest a question for you:
How do you think god got there?

I think a lot of Atheists DO sorta belive in some kind of a God, but they call themselves "Atheists" to make it clear to you that they DON'T believe in YOUR God (Yahveh/Jehovah)! There are a few real, honest-to-God(less) Atheists out there, though, who flat-out categorically deny that there's ANY sort of God, but I suspect most Atheists fall into the first category (they just don't like Yahveh and wish/hope He doesn't exist... I am one of this group.)

Why do you believe in god.... why do you think he would bother making us....Why would an all knowing, all powerful being want to put up with the aggravations of having to deal with a entity that will eventually disobey even the simplest instructions.

Why doesn't anybody every start their question with, "Calling all Deists," "Calling all Theists," "Calling all Agnostics," or anything like that. I never get a chance to answer these questions without a guilty conscience.
Are there only two groups: believers and atheists?

If God created the universe, then who created God? Who created the creator of God? Who created the creator of God's crea... you get my point. It's far easier to understand that the universe created itself by naturalistic methods (even if we doen't completely understand what those are) then to try and figure out the nature of God and his origins.
