Carl Sagan once said that "Evolution is better science than Genesis" I find it so much more humbling that all life evolved on this planet from a single instance. That all life on this planet is connected and we are one planet.

Unless she's particularly thrilled with some specific bits of your anatomy, I think you're giving evolution a wee bit too much credit.
Evolution has led to us having the capacity to grow, change and become more kind, caring people and better able to express that. That you've succeeded is your own doing.
