No, but it depends what you are talking. If you are flirting with a stranger than thats haraam.

I believe the term is Halal. Perhaps Haram is a Persian or Turkish term for the same thing. But no, Internet is not Halal, I've met many Muslims online.

I am not sure............ But I think it depends on the issue you are talking about...........
You might want to ask some scholar cause i doubt if you would find a scholar here.
One good place to ask is
http://chatislam.com
when the scholars enter the room, their user picture has white here.(you would know once you get in there)...ask someone when you go there.
.
I ask all my Muslim brothers and sisters>>>>>>>>>>>>> NOT TO ANSWER SOMETHING YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT....
Giving a fatwa without having the right,,,,is a big sin.......
.
Hope I was helpful

And He has already revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the Signs of God being denied and mocked at, sit not with those who indulge in such talk until they engage in some other talk; for in that case you would be like them. Surely Allah will assemble the hypocrite and the disbelievers in Hell, all together.

But mom and dad won’t like it!
The Quran accepts private dating within respectable limits

i think even if ur flirting it's ok. Cause love is acceptable. But u shouldn't spend most of ur time on chatting, so much better things to do

As long as it is kept within the guidelines of what is Halal, it wouldn't be. You're learning and contributing to others' knowledge above all, and even if you're just chatting to others as long as you're not speaking of things you shouldn't be speaking about, you're fine.
