Wow, this is a tough one. Im not familiar with your religion, and I do not know the consequences this will bring to you in terms of disciplinary actions from your congregation or family.

It sounds to me like you feel obligued to a relationship with him but you dont feel good about betraying your faith.

However you should think of this, lets say you continue this relationship and it leads to marriage. Do you think you are willing to change your beliefs? What if after you get married your husband decides to practice his religion and wants to pull you with him? What will happen when you have kids and they want to go to church with his dad and not yours? How will your family reunions be? Your situation could get worse if you only follow your heart and don't rationalize your desicion.

When do you think its a better time to leave him, now or after you have entered into a more serious relationship? The consequences will be tougher if you wait.

I may sound harsh and heartless, and a lot of people will tell you that love is the important thing and that it can overcome anything. The thing is only you know your circumstances.

Ask God to guide you in your desicions. Think what would God want me to do?

May God Bless you!

I think you should look into your heart and find out who you are and what you believe personally I am a christian but do not want to force my belief on anyone, sounds like your depression is being caused by indecision, you should never feel guilty or burdened because of what others think you should do ;feeling betrayel because of your belief is not the proper feeling you should have, the God I know and love( is love) and wants all good things for you, dont let people be the determining factor for the rest of your life

first things first. Religion is a myth. If you believe that. try to explain each and everything to your parents about the myth and how it is so much attached to your living style. Most probably they will not agree with you. Leave them for some time and start a new life. But do not forget to call them and keep searching information about your parents. Good luck.

Could just be a hormonal thing. You are only 18 and female. That explains a lot. If you don't know what's causing the depression, you can't find a cure. Maybe go see a doctor.

There was an old Christian mystic whose name was "Brother Lawrence." He wrote a book called Practicing the Presence of Christ.

The idea is that you imagine Jesus walking with you, listening to you, talking to you every step of the way every day. You do your work for Jesus, the easy and the hard together. as you give your life to Him, the walk becomes easier.

He will show himself to you as you "practice his presence."

Take some time out. Go somewhere where you can be away and have some time to yourself.
Do you love this guy? Enough to date him even though your religion might not agree with it?
Talk to your parents. Email/IM might do best if you are really nervous.
Also,try therapy!
Good luck!God bless you my friend!

well, when you're in your deepest pit in life, Jesus' arm isn't too short to help you out of it.

All the guilt I expierienced before being saved was too much for me too.. I turned to Jesus. I'm glad I did.

You're in kind-of a tricky situation though. I hope other people have better testimonies than I do.

Just pray.

And if you still don't get answers from Allah...well then, go to the savior of mankind :)

It sounds to me like you are battling the things you think you should do and the things that you want to do. Start doing the things that you want to do and stop worrying about what you think you should do. That should make you feel a lot better.

Don't listen to a book for your religious guidance. It is nothing more than ink on paper.

There was a woman who stated (I'm taking this out of context and paraphrasing, btw)

"If you take a Bible and put it out in the wind and rain, the words will fade and the pages will blow away."

Listen to your heart. Allah will guide you to what is the best thing for you.
