I think that's exactly why the world is so screwed up right now.
And has been for a long time, because we're told we're going to hell for giving in to our natural sex drive. And people get angry and then reckless.

Why would someone tell a child God is vengeful toward humans?

THat doesn't makes sense I mean If i was vengeful toward someone I wouldn't sacrifice my son for them so that they could be happy?

ANd i am supposing u mean that the child will feel guilty if they do not follow God correct?

Well no it is not child abuse that is a foolish question.

Guilt is something that you feel when u have done someting wrong is it not?

THen i suppose we will have to assume that the guilt is not ill placed.

You are aware that the conscience is the only thing that cannot lie to you.

Your own brain can lie to you even such wiht disorders, or denial, or repressed memories.

BUt your conscience cannot.

If a child feels guilty for doing something wrong I don't suppose I would report his parents to social services.

I don't understand how you could even ask this question!!! What could having that little bit of knowledge do for a kid? Would you worry a child over something that may not even happen in his lifetime?! What possible good can come from scaring little kids with stories of a vindictive god? Why would you even want to plague a child with guilt? That guilt would follow a child all throughout life and make them feel worthless!
Your questions scare me.

Okay, first of all. It's not child abuse if you say that because it's true. The last time I checked, telling a child the correct thing isn't child abuse. And God isn't vengeful toward humans, nor mad. He created us, so for what good is it for Him to be angry at us, weak, worthless humans?

Nice play on words. No! it is not child abuse to tell a child that God is going to right all the wrongs of the world. If he has to destroy so many evil people to do so, then good! Its not evil to tell him what a wonderful aftermath it will be either. If most of the people he knows are evil, then thats that. Otherwise most of the people he or she knows, as well as the child, will receive something beautiful.

I think you are right to call it Child Abuse because it does have the appearance of very seriously bad brainwashing.
But please don't think this is normal for Christian parents, it is not. I know many Christian parents and I have yet to meet one who would behave in this sort of manner. In fact, such behavior would suggest to me the parent (or whoever) isn't a Christian at all, but just uses religion as an excuse to justify being a bad parent.

if u tell a child the way u say it , yes,how about telling them that jesus will come one day to take us all home where we came from, boy oh boy , what is wrong with u , someone didn't explain things to u the right way or u got something mixed up somehow , god is not angry at u if u r doing things the right way, sounds like u have been very bad and r feeling guilty about it yourself, u better tell god u r sorry for your sinfulness

That is not what children are told about God in Christian Churches. Have you ever stepped foot into a Church? Children are taught about the love of God. As far as the end of the world goes that is not even talked about in most Churches. When you live in the love and forgiveness of God you don't fear things. God is not angry, He is slow to anger and His mercy endures forever. You abuse your kids with a Godless life. They grow up accountable to no one and care only for themselves. Selfish and prideful generation

Dear O,

Please stop using your child as an excuse for your own disbelief, because if you are a believer in Gods word you would know have to educate a child on bible knowledge.

Revelations isn't for children, if that is what you are asking. It's for the more mature among us. Just as you don't need to tell children about homosexuality, sodomy and stds, you don't need to give them the "scary" parts of religion until they are old enough to handle them. Children have a loving God to look at. They don't need to look at the vengeful God of the old testament or to deal with what will happen to nonbelievers during the rapture. It isn't relevant to them.
