Note what I'm asking. I'm not asking a rhetorical question or making a suggestion, just asking about why things have changed.

My apologies for not mentioning this sooner. I only meant to ask why things are different, I didn't say I approved of the idea.

Simply, times change. The methods of killing have changed along with the times. People probbably figured that throwing a boulder on someone wasn't painful enough, and decided to invent better ways to kill.

As a form of dealth penalty? Most Western governments don't even use the dealth penalty any longer. For the governments that do, they have determined more supposed humane methods. Hanging, as evidenced in Iraq, is still used in places and stoning is still used in some parts of the middle east and Africa.

Because with the introduction of the UFC and UN Resolutions. They have their cases argued PRO and CON on network TV for 3 plus years. After the ratings plummet, so do they on the executioners noose. Thus stoning wouldn't make for friendly prime time television, now would it?

Maybe the do not smoke enough pot LOL

Just kidding!!! Probably because sticking a needle in their arm is more "humane"

I think that the death penalty is needed, and is a deterrent, because the dead guy is definitely deterred from raping, murdering again, what I disagree with is making it a sideshow, that is just sick.

Are you kidding? I don't know where you're from, but in the USA it's considered cruel and usual punishment when "it hurts" when the needle is inserted into a mass murderer's arm during his lethal injection.

Do you really think anyone could be stoned to death here?

I agree. We need to reinstate stoning. There would be a dramatic drop in crime. Guaranteed.

What a horrible way to die!! Could YOU throw stones at someone with the intention of killing them?! Things have changed because we have become more "humane" over the years. I wouldn't want to be the cause of anyone's death. I couldn't live with myself if someone died because of my actions.
