We know that Peter was chosen by God when Jesus said, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[e] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Mathew 16: 17-19) Jesus founded the Catholic Church, or the church dies with Peter? (http://mb-soft.com/believe/txc/popes.htm)And also after Jesus death, Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." (JOHN 20: 21-22)That means they are following God’s direct teaching not man’s teaching. http://www.biblegateway.com

I encountered two mormons hanging out in my apartment lobby yesterday and it made me think: what is the best to deal with various missionaries when you are simply not interested?

We all think bad about him because he was drunk and i the begining i also thought that but with the passage of time i think he was true. He is very proud christian. He made passion of christ. Do you know why he got angry. Because they are killing innocent people just for thier needs. I dont understand why we love them so much even more than our christians representatives. Jesus did not tell about racism and never said some one belong to my race is more precious than other people. How he could say. Jesus was for everyone not one race or nation. Jesus love is for every race , colour and nation. We as christians are dying for them. They are ruling our minds, souls as well as our land. Are we too weak no we are powerful but weak in faith and relationship with Jesus. If they are real christians then why they dont believe in Bible like us and they dont go to church. Its not just enough to get birth in some specific race.I can believe it.Do We deserve as servent of them.Gibson loves jesusmore

Do evolutionists know that Darwin confessed to having been wrong? Why don't they teach that in school? All they say is who made up the theory, and how it works (or doesn't). But they never say how Darwin admitted to being wrong.

I know my old loved ones probably may want to come near me if they're really in a ghost form, but i don't want to. So much so that I pray every night that no ghost should enter my room. I'd seriously scream and have a heart attack or even go delirious if i saw a ghost. I don't hate them it's just I'm not up for an encounter with one, nor will I ever be. My question, Are there any religious or common things i can do to keep them out of my bedroom?

I don't understand. What do people think is so wrong with being a Jew? I don't know a lot about the religion but don't understand the horrible hatred some people seem to still have towards them.

The Brown Anole is a type of lizard native to Cuba and the Bahamas. Scientists to see how evolution occurs introduced a larger predatory lizard to the habitat of the Brown Anole. The Brown Anole in order to escape from this new predator ran away from is and so evolved longer legs to run faster almost immediately. Then the Brown Anole started running away from the new lizard by hiding in shrubs and trees and so shorter legs for climbing became advantageous and within 6 months the Brown Anole had evolved shorter legs for climbing.

A mormon friend told me that his religion forbids drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol and doing drugs. But he drinks caffeinated beverages, chocolate, hot chocolate, etc. I questioned him about this and his response was that it is a common misconception that mormons forbid caffeine. He says it is the chemicals in coffee that "basically kill you." And gave the example that a coffee drinker can withdraw when he goes without coffee, but a chocaholic doesn't "shake and get nervous or headaches" when he doesn't have chocolate, because it's the horrible chemicals in coffee, not the caffeine. Anyone familiar with mormonism got a take on this? I'm a coffee drinker. Am I in the dark about something horrid in coffee besides caffeine?
What is the religious basis (detailed) behind this no coffee rule?

i do believe there is a god, i believe that jeseus was a very good spiritually connected man whose word is very much the way i would like to fashion my life after, i don't really believe in adam and eve or the nativity storie, i don't respect preasts or nuns and don't care to be jusged by them, therefore i don't want to confess my sins to someone who probably has sinned worse than i, so what church do i belong to? i would like to have some religious stability in my life, but feel like a hypocrite to go to the catholic church.

As a reservations agent for Ramada Inns I had to book Catholics into rooms in Conyers, Ga. This so they could see the Blessed Virgin. I, of course, was not allowed to say anything "smart assed" like: do you want a room with a view. (To detractors: I was raised Catholic. Baptised and Confirmed, and I still think this is stupid.)

Ok here is me- a thinking man that went to a christian school etc. so I understand the basics of christianity and all the rest as learnt in religious studies etc.

ok so nowdays I am tossing up if i am a atheist or non practicing christian.

So obviously I have doubts about a fews things so here goes

1. Where in the bible does it say to be a good christian you must go to church? Also same q' giving money to the church?
2. Who wrote the structure for mass? Yes i know it was practiced by jesus but why is it so forced and structured in the church?
3. How do we know that the bible isnt just a hand me down of stories much like aesops fables?
4. how much of what is in the blible is simply misinterpretation and or pompus lies to enhance the storie by the authors?
5. If god created us what were the dinosaurs- a trail run? Were we an after thought.
6. What was god doing before he created earth? Just kicking back playing the playstation?

oh i have more can you answer these 1st?
