For example, I come from a family where religion is important, but a HIGHLY private matter. Mom read Bible stories to me as a child, and I acted as voice in all meal time prayers, and went to church (Methodist) every Sunday, but other than that I had no idea what my parents beliefs were until I converted and tried to share and explain my enthusiasm. It's been 14 years and I still don't know what they believe, only what they don't believe - which is "the Mormon church". I feel like there's so many things we could do as a family (even though I don't live with them any more) that aren't particularly "Mormon" related, but simply Christian in general.

So how did you/how do you get your non-member family involved in general spiritual nourishment? Like reading the Bible together, having a religious conversation without it turning into a Mormon bashing conversation, watching something like the Nativity movie at Christmas time, etc.

How did God warn people for many years before the flood that they need to behave?

Did he cause famine, hardships, or did he actually come out and just shout it out?

Worldwide Islamic conflicts: Chechnya, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Somolia, Sudan and Dafur genocide, Chad, Phillipines, Indonesia, Lebanon, Palastine, Iraq, Algeria, Southern India, Kashmir, etc..

Muslims worldwide are making people feel very uncomfortable, but wimpy naive Americans continue to show tolerance for the religion of ultimate intolerance. Maybe its because Americans are weak, like Bin Laden claims.

Why would Muslims change anyway? Is there any pressure to do so? None at all! The worst you ever hear in the media is some wimpy innuendo like "well, it would be nice if Muslims addressed some of their issues". Oh yea, If Im Muslim, Im just quaking in my boots. What a joke.

If anything, weak pathetic Americans have been trying to be even nicer to ignorant self righteous Islamists.

What if the environement felt very very different to them...might they be willing to change their hate cult some? Change never happens without pressure. Youre pusssies....honestly....pusssies.

"I believe everything that happened in the bible.... including the story of Noah and the ark. I believe that Noah and his family really were saved from the flood. I think that it is an actual factual event. Oh, and by the way, it kinda scares me that some people do not teach their children about Jesus or take them to church so that they can learn bible stories. It's the only way into heaven. You gotta believe".

Do some of the people on here get some sort of thrill out of bashing other religions. Some people are here just for kind advice, but some people use it as an opportunity to make people feel bad. I was just wondering if I was missing out on lots of fun by not being mean. : )

Does this happen in Genesis 4:3. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favour.

I often hear Christians say that everybody deserves to go to hell. But is it true that everyone deserves eternal torture for the things we do on Earth? Are a person's actions on Earth a good reason to subject someone to the most excruciating pain until the end of time? I wouldn't recommend eternal punishment for anybody, and neither would an all-loving God.

Nothing a human can ever do justifies eternal punishment. The punishment does not fit the crime. What is your opinion on this?
