Can anyone tell me the meaning of one or some of these letters from St. Paul: Ephesians, Galatians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, and 1st & 2nd Timothy?

Or, if you can't explain them, can you provide a link?

Now do not get me wrong, I am a big fan of Buddhism, however in pondering about its doctrine I have stumbled across a bit of a flaw.

The idea of Nirvana (or enlightenment) is the eventual end of the cycle of Samsara (birth, suffering, death, rebirth). This is the goal of all devout Buddhists and they believe that until they reach it they will continue to be reborn into this cycle. Now let us hypothetically say that everyone in the world converted to Buddhism and one by one they became enlightened and reached Nirvana, when they then die, which is called Parinirvana (a person's fully passing away), they are not reborn. How does the world keep going if everyone is dying out one-by-one? I know Buddhists believe in a rebirth, cyclical life, but I am not sure whether they believe in "new birth" or not. If not how would a civilization keep perpetuating itself if everyone's goal was to one day reach Nirvana and then seize to "exist" as we know it?

Besides the whole " I'm right, you're wrong" dance Christians, Muslims or Jewish people are always performing, there's the whole bizarro world of fundamentalists, who could be funny if they weren't so dangerous.
I mean even the current American understanding of "terrorism", isn't it a whole other fancy word for extremist religious fervor gone terribly wrong? Don't point out that it shows that Islam is a false religion because Christianity has been guilty of it as well.
We also have the homosexuality debate..yeah...fine example of religious tolerance as well uh?
Where exactly is the unity? Missionaries, humanitarian efforts, all the good stuff, I attribute those to basic human compassion and empathy, that we all can have in us without an invisible person on the sky telling us that it's what's good.

If "religious" people irritate and annoy you, then why are you answering their questions? Why is it so important to you to try to convince believers not to believe? whats it to you if they do? You hang around answering questions, and complain about them all at the same time.

Well... I thought the 'Christians: When you die?' thing was an interesting question I wanted to throw this one out there.

What you you say and do if you died and were sent to hell... Looking up at two unsymmetric disgusting demons that wanted to tear the flesh off of you?

Main point... what would you do if you actually went to hell?

What do you think Hell (supposes it exsists) is like? Heaven?

Would you regret some stuff?

this isn't a hell threat. I'm interested.

It's impossible, believe me I've tried. I've shown them hundreds of inconsistencies and contradictions in the bible. I've shown them their God is a murderous, jealous, sexist, racist. I've shown them Jesus was only here for the Jews, a thief and a liar. I've told them there is no way a worldwide flood ever took place. And still not one of them has ever been like "oh maybe you're right." They're faith is very strong, but unfortunately is directed in the wrong way. If only they had the same faith for humanity, and this world they could all band together and stop hunger, global warming, and war. There's 2 billion Christians, imagine what 2 billion united people could do, instead of debating whether or not abortions are bad, and gays are sinful they could make this Earth a great place of everybody. But no instead they want to worship an over exaggerated rabbi and his magic tricks, and waste this life in hopes that their eternity will be pleasant.

(in reference to the one asked about atheists and why they bother working if they dont believe there is an afterlife).

how come you guys do anything on this earth if you believe the afterlife will be so much better? why hold a job and do good deeds if we are all going to die sooner or later and go to either heaven or hell in the end.

doesnt this form of immortality lessen the preciousness of life? where as some believe this is our ONLY life, they treasure it. why treasure this life if you believe in a greater one afterwards?
