I'm switching to a Pagan religion that has no known date of existance. My friend got me interested. It is very, benlovent, hopeful, and raises self-seteem.

I am usually always in a gloomy state, and I thought that this would be a wonderful switch.

What is your opinion on this? Please don't be a jerk on this as I usually feel really bad about myself if I am negatively criticized...

They realized that religion is getting a bad reputation (because of them) so they tried to lie and claim they're not religious. Soo false

Religion
Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.

Catholics (who are Christians) got a bad reputation because of molesters so Christians tried to claim that Catholics are not Christians. Soo false.

Christians were claiming that Atheists are fools. When us Atheists started speaking out correcting lies and winning court cases, now they're crying out "They're attacking us"

Is this based on something they observe and is real, if so, it must be scientifically observable.

If it was put to the test, are you sure you would win in the "better luck and good fortune" catagory?

Apollonius of Tyana had studied about Lord Krishna in the Himalayas and then he returned and introduced these teachings to the Essenes, who became the first "Chrishn-ins", later Christians. The writings of Apollonius were re-written and plagiarized by Roman churchmen at the Council of Nicea three centuries later. In the fourth century, A.D., Hierocles accused the Christian priesthood of this plagiary and of INVENTING a messiah by combining the name of the sun god, Iesus, with the name Chrishna, which had become corrupted to Christ by that time.

For example, in the birth story of both Lord Krishna and Jesus, the king ordered the death of all newborn male children. Both grew up as shepards, or cowherd boys.

The story of Jesus was plagurized from the story of Krishna.

I humbly request that all of the Christians out there study and compare the life of Krishna and Jesus, at the website below.

Christians often say,

"A sin is a sin"
Isn't murder worse than lying about your age? This is sick

"We're all born sinners"
They're putting murderers in the same boat with people who think about sex. They have to be crazy

So, if they murder someone, they'll say "well, we're all born sinners anyway"

Jesus died for your dirt? (murder, rape, ect.) Oh, now you still have a chance of going to heaven after killing 10 babies? SICK

You have to be crazy to think a "good God" would even think this way

If he supposedly has a plan for each and every body, then wouldn't that negate any need for free will?

I am most familiar with Christianity. I find the brutality of the crucifixtion to be potentially harmful to teach impressionable children. The idea of a vengeful God is also potentially harmful. What are your opinions???

why when someone asks about strange occurences during the night .. a presence in the room ... being attacked ... seeing or hearing things ...
are people so quick to say demons ?
has no one heard of sleep paralysis ?
this is a medical condition that affects almost 40 % of the population at some point in their life
it can be mild or severe
perhaps this is the reason for the belief in demons in the first place .. when people did not understand the medical side of things
please though , before jumping to conclusions and thinking all manner of strange things ...
see if it is something that is natural first ?

My husbby & I used to attend a church in Burlington. Due to some controversy, the church split & we stopped attending just after 6 year old daughter was born. We have tried several other churches in Mississauga (where we live) over the past 6 yrs, however, none seemed to compare to the one in Burlington.
I was on the worship team & LOVED all the songs that we did. Most church's music just can't compare & our pastor was truly annointed. It is hard to find another Pastor with that kind of fire.
Some of the churches we have tried have been either boring or unfriendly. I told our daughter that if no one talked to us (either before, during or after) then it was not the right place for us. One church we attended for a few months & then stopped, but no one followed up when we stopped attending. I was a Christian b4 being married, but my hubby wasn't, so his standards are a little harder to meet. Anyways, if anyone knows of a good church and would invite us out, I would appreciate it. Thnx

I was just want to see what others think about their beliefs. Like take my case, I'm an Agnostic, but I really wish I could be a Christian. Unfortunatly it just does not feel right. Anytime I try, I just feel like I am faking. So Agnosticism seems like the best fit for now.
So anyway my question is, Do you believe in whatever you believe in without a shadow of a doubt? And if you do what has convinced you of your belief?
Thanks.

I've never been to a Protestant church before, and my project is to interview someone from this religion and ask them the following questions. I'd very much appreciate it if you could help:
1. What branch of protestantism do you follow and how does it differ from other branches?
2. How is the architecture and structures of your Protestant church like? Is their any special designs and artwork? What? What are the windows and altar like?
3. Are there music programs or programs for teenagers and children?

THANKS! :-)
