Since I was about 9, I have been categorized as a non-believer in any religion concerning an "invisible yet visible" higher power. I don't bash religions like these, because I don't want to snub the devotee's faith, but I don't know exactly what I am. I believe that there is a higher power prevalent in our lives that keeps us wholesome and safe, but does not necessarily want us to "worship" them because it would be in turn an unrequited faith, which makes you not believe in them anymore when they do not answer our prayers. Confusing, right? Feel free to join everyone else who I've told this to's side if you will while answering this long winded question for me: What exactly is my explanation for religion called?

Society(especially US society) is like a person that has a problem and know he/she has a problem;so they go to the phsychiatrist to get help with their problem. But for some odd reason when the person gets to the doctors office to get help with their problem;for some reason they start denying that they have a problem.Doctor tells them well you came here,so their must be something wrong. And the person just very adimantly denies having any kind of problem;and refuses to evan listen to anyone(doctor, parents, spouses ect.) tryna convince them and show them that they need to go back and let the doctor help them.

Does this not sound like the spiritual and mental state of society(US & otherwise) today?Everybody know there's a problem, christians know there's a problem, and evan a few other that arnt christian know. And when we try and let them know how to fix what's wrong, they refuse the help.

Agree with the comparison or No?Explain why?

Essensses? Or is it spelled Eccenses? Well anyway, who were they? From what tribe of Isreal did they come from? Are they still in exsistance in this day and age. Is it true that John the baptist was raised and trained by them?

If I ask God why he kills with water, why is that blasphemy? Drowning is a horrible way to die. First your lungs fill painfully with water, then your body convulses till finally you pass out. It is a horrible way to die. Yet that is one of God's favorite way to kill according to the bible. Why is it blasphemy to question such horrible acts of evil by a God?

What are your views about Nihilism?

If you don't know what it is, Nihilism argues that the world, especially past and current human existence, is without objective meaning, purpose, comprehensible truth, or essential value. Nihilists generally assert some or all of the following: there is no reasonable proof of the existence of a higher ruler or creator, a "true morality" is unknown, and secular ethics are impossible; therefore, life has no truth, and no action is known to be preferable to any other.

The description was taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nihilism go there if you need to learn more.

I believe everything is set up exactly as the bible predicts in prophecy. We need to tell as many as we can about the gift of God (eternal life through Christ Jesus) Time is running out! do you agree???

Okay, everyone chose from the items below to decide who Jesus really was. I'm just curious what everyone thinks.

Liar- He made it all up. (Remember that he was willing to die for this in the most horrible way)

Lunatic- He's just cuckoo. (Remember that his teachings were the most sane in history and that he controlled his emotions)

Lord- He's God! ( He wants you to accept Him as your Savior)

Please don't put anything rude! And explain your answer. This is for a project!

I know it seems absurd. But God is commonly described as a loving and forgiving god. If he is so forgiving then could this be possible?

I spent the majority of my life as an Athiest and reletavist. I denied an absolute God and jesus christ, I lived my life the way i wanted to
and often looked down upon people who prostelyzed. I persited in this view until oned ay God himself confronted me, he confronted me with His Holiness and His thunderous law. At once I was taken back to my youth and reminded of my transgressions of His Law (ten Commandments), I remebered the many times I unthoughtfully blasphemed Gods name, lied, fornicated with my eyes and my thoughts, and all the times I live an idolatrous lfe of material items. I came to the realization of Gods Holiness and Justice and the Consequneces of my transgressions (hell). Then at the most fearful time in my life, God revealed to me why Jesus died, I broke His law and Jesus paid my fine with his lifes blood, and he alone held the key to death and hell. I knew what I must do, i fell on my face and pleaded with God in repentace, and I placed my faith in Jesus.
